Ended up here as a last option, but sure glad I did. Food was awesome, good portions, and excellent price. Service was fast and friendly. Good small town atmosphere, with local appeal. Will be our go to breakfast joint every time we are in town.

I ordered a hot dog and cheeseburger. The hot dog bun was microwaved so much it was like leather! I could hardly pull it apart with two hands. Dogs like it though. Cheeseburger was edible but dogs liked it. So disappointed

I usually love Melton’s Restaurant but today, I was noticing was one of the cashiers had on no head covering, and I wish they would get some control of the line. My coworker and I were standing waiting to do our order and when they said can I take your order a gentleman jumped us, my coworker informed him we were waiting. I have had that happen more than once. That really needs to be addressed everyone comes in ask are you in line or where is the end of the line, cause people be waiting for their order so people don’t know. There needs to be a rope lines and that way some one will know. Make two one to place your order and one to get it. But as usual my chicken was great.

Stopped by for lunch. We had barbecue sandwiches and fried chicken. It was all very good. The place wasn’t crowded and it didn’t take too long to get our order. They had some good looking cake but I decided I should pass on that. Good southern cooking!

Back in the 80’s& 90’s and early 2000’s Meltons had the best fried chicken. Great breakfast sandwiches too. I have been gone this past year and heard about the resturants upgrade which it very much needed. Sanitation score 93, I knew I should have left but I gave them a try. That 16 PC was fresh out the grease with no seasoning and a light brown in color. I was hoping for that seasoned mahogany colored chicken from back in the day. No one takes pride in their cooking. Meltons is not a representation of Southern Cooking.

The food was really good. I enjoyed it very much. The cashier was a doll. She was very friendly and kept my food for me while I went an ran an errand. The thought that was so thoughtful. The last several times I have gone there the food was great. I will be back.
