Stopped into Melton’s yesterday right after they opened around 5:30 AM. Exactly what I needed for breakfast – a bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit. It was delicious and they were quick. Definitely an Elizabethtown staple spot to grab a quick bite.

The fried chicken is always the absolute best. My friend got chicken and a hotdog which he raved about. The chicken is always hot and juicy and the batter is flavored to perfection. The hot dogs are fried and loaded with toppings.

***MUST READ!*** Hidden gem in Elizabethtown. Lived here for almost two years, knew they had good fried chicken through church functions. Their breakfast is amazing and worth the stop. I have not tried their hot or cold subs but I am looking forward to it!!!

Stopped by for lunch. We had barbecue sandwiches and fried chicken. It was all very good. The place wasn’t crowded and it didn’t take too long to get our order. They had some good looking cake but I decided I should pass on that. Good southern cooking!

One day I might have a bad experience that changes my mind but as of now I’d give a favorable review. I think this place has the best chicken in town. Reminiscent of Mike’s farm chicken. Not heavily breaded. Their chicken, bacon, ranch sub is great as long as you don’t get any bones in it. Fries and slaw are good, mashed potatoes and gravy are the kind at a nursing home. They could do better on those but this is a good place to eat.
