This experience was absolutely stunning. My partner took me here for my first year anniversary and let me just say it was the best dining experience I have ever had.

It was also the best date I have ever had thanks to the amazing waitress we had, and the amazing food and atmosphere. It was super awesome!! I highly recommend!!

We visited yesterday for my husband’s birthday and were excited to try the ‘Big Night Out’ 4-course meal. While the food was good, the service was pretty disappointing.

We felt incredibly rushed throughout the evening. While we were still having the first cheese dip course, our server asked if we were “done” with it—even though there were still plenty of bread and vegetables left. I understand that they need to prepare the pot for the next course, but being asked if we were finished when we were only 2/3 of the way through felt bad. It was so obvious we were still in the middle of eating that I thought I had misheard the question. It’s hard to enjoy a special day when you feel like the staff is pushing you to finish.

I had specifically noted the birthday in our OpenTable reservation, but there was no effort made beyond a verbal “happy birthday.” I see photos in other reviews of “Happy Birthday” or “Happy anniversary” decorated plates and small gestures. That would’ve been nice. I was a little surprised not seeing any effort to celebrate because I thought melting pot is a nice restaurant. For the price, I expected better hospitality and a more relaxed pace.

A lovely, romantic birthday dinner! The special nook we were seated in was perfect for two! The cheese fondue was nice, but I didn’t love having raw meat at the table. The California salad was excellent, but the real star of the show was the turtle chocolate fondue! Yummy, slow paced, just perfect for a date night.

When I called to make a reservation, I reached the manager, Natasha. She was so friendly and helpful, and assured me we would be able to have good gluten-free and dairy-free options. She eats the dairy-free cheese fondue too and said she would make sure everything was done properly for us.

We made a reservation for 4 o’clock on a Tuesday in order to take advantage of some special offers. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and promptly attended to. While the outside of the restaurant would give you the impression that it’s one large open area, this is not the case. We were so pleased to see how the interior includes private seating areas that feel tucked away with soft lighting.

Our server, MADISON has worked here for six years, and it shows! She is skilled and knowledgeable about all the offerings and was able to help us select delicious vegan and gluten-free options! Not only that, but she has such a warm personality. It felt like we had a friend preparing fondue for us!

We enjoyed a vegan version of Wisconsin cheddar fondue with gluten-free bread, fresh fruit, and veggies. After that, my husband enjoyed the California salad with delicious candied pecans and raspberry walnut vinaigrette. I ordered the strawberry feta salad without the cheese. The basil-infused white balsamic glaze is delicious and dairy-free.

Madison was very attentive to every detail regarding our dietary concerns, even double-checking ingredients. Natasha followed up as well to make sure the dairy- free cheese fondue had turned out nice and creamy. Indeed, it did—and Madison seasoned it perfectly! It was also refreshing to have the gluten-free options be every bit as good as the gluten options!

We ordered the flaming turtle chocolate fondue, without the caramel, and it came with gluten-free snickerdoodle cookies, gf brownies, bananas, strawberries, marshmallows, and more! It was a nice touch to have it flambéed at the table!.

Madison even surprised us with a plate with “happy birthday “ written in chocolate with a strawberry flower and a candle anchored in a fig and date treat center. (She had asked earlier if we were celebrating anything special, and we shared that this was for my birthday).

I was able to take advantage of a birthday email I received for complementary large chocolate-dipped strawberries. They were able to do it with vegan chocolate and packaged them in cute boxes and a bag to go.

I HIGHLY recommend this Melting Pot and staff for a special date out or just a relaxing and tasty experience. They are great at accommodating dietary concerns!

Thank you, Madison and Natasha!

We love coming to the Melting Pot. We have been together for 5 years. Have celebrated a Valentines Day and not just our first, but also our second wedding anniversary there. We love the atmosphere and the experience. Our waitress Karen D on 11-20-25 was nothing but spectacular. I am also happy to add that the Melting Pot is one of my big accounts I handle at my job. I am looking forward to the update this fine establishment has coming and definitely deserves! Thank you all for being amazing and also the manager Rob there that night whom we got the pleasure of meeting and speaking with as well. We will definitely be back for round 4 to use our gift card you gave us. Thank you again for a great time and fantastic food. Also bought a bottle of the garlic wine seasoning that is sitting on my counter to use for EVERYTHING!

Melting Pot is one of those rare restaurants where the experience is more unique than the food itself. Getting to coat endless amounts of bread in hot, gooey cheese is probably the best way to start meal. The variety of meats and vegetables cooked in your choice of cooking style is always tasty. And of course, dessert is the best part with delicious treats dipped in hot melted chocolate. Of course, the experience isn’t cheap, but they run enough promos where you can get some decent deals on the experience. I definitely recommend everyone trying out this experience at least once, as it really is an exciting place to eat.

The Melting Pot is always a great experience if you enjoy fondue. We celebrate our anniversary there every year, going on 26 years! The restaurant is always clean and neat and the people are always friendly. Our server, Kendra was professional, did a great job and was attentive. I always love that they offer plenty of different dipping sauces. It’s always amazing to me how these little pieces of food really fill you up! The dessert fondue is always delicious!

I recently visited The Melting Pot – Indianapolis for a special occasion: my partner’s birthday. It was his first time there, and I had made a 6:30 pm reservation weeks in advance, clearly noting that it was for a celebration.

Upon arrival, we were seated in a booth along a hallway directly next to the swinging kitchen doors. There was constant traffic from staff carrying food and dirty dishes, along with loud kitchen noise—shouting, dishes crashing, and nonstop movement. My partner politely asked the hostess if there was another table available and even offered to wait, but we were told no and that the wait would be “some hours.”

We tried to make it work, but the environment was overwhelming. My partner has combat-related PTSD and was visibly activated by the constant movement behind him. Additionally, at 6’7”, he felt unsafe stretching his legs under the table out of concern for tripping staff, as multiple people were frequently passing through that narrow space at the same time. This was incredibly disappointing—especially for a birthday celebration—and honestly not conducive to even a stress-free meal.

We went back to the hostess to ask about waiting for another table and were told it would likely be at least 8:30 pm. Discouraged, we initially decided to leave. After a few minutes of deliberation, we returned to ask if we could wait after all and were again told it would be hours. I then asked if it was possible to speak with a manager.

That’s when LaTasha, the manager, stepped in—and everything changed. She immediately understood our concerns, validated our experience, and acknowledged how rough that particular seating location was. She instructed the staff to notify us as soon as the next appropriate table became available.

While we waited, we sat at the bar and received excellent, immediate service from Storm, the bartender. She was warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming, helping us relax after a stressful start.

Not long after, we were seated at a much better table and taken care of by Evelyn, who was attentive, friendly, and made our dinner truly enjoyable. The food was wonderful, and LaTasha even stopped by to check on us personally.

What began as an experience that might have ensured we never returned was completely turned around. LaTasha saved the evening and reminded us that exceptional customer service still exists. Thanks to her—and to Storm and Evelyn—we ended up having a lovely, romantic birthday dinner and left feeling valued and cared for.

We have been coming to this Melting Pot for the last 23 years. Every year for our anniversary and again we had an amazing experience as always. Our waiter Anthony was running a little behind and his coworker Tommy was quick to step up and get us started with drinks and our cheese and salad order. After that Anthony was qui k to stop by and make sure everything was okay. We ordered to 50th anniversary menu and it did not disappoint the best cheese selection we have ever had here ( should become a regular menu item). My wife enjoyed her sparkly lemon drop drink and we awaited our cheese. Anthony did an amazing job helping us celebrate another year of our amazing marriage and we will be back next year and many more after that. Thank you for an amazing dinner Anthony!
