Great restaurant with plenty of unique and delicious options for both kids and adults. This location was very clean and had plenty of parking. The decorations were fantastic and the staff were all friendly and chatty. We all had more than enough to eat and the prices were fair for the generous portions.

5/3/24: Melt is definitely a pricey place to eat out at, but it’s always worth it. The restaurant has a calm and nostalgic atmosphere with lots of vintage memorabilia. Our waitress was very generous and checked in on us on a regular basis. Food was in large portions and cooked thoroughly and tasted great.

8/4/24 edit: News broke that they were shutting down their Mentor restaurant on August 11th, so I had to go before they closed. It was still a bit pricey, but actually had more reasonable prices compared to the last visit in May of 2024. Food was very good, large portions, friendly and fast service. Some menu options weren’t available because they’re closing and are out of inventory on certain items.

Multiple items on the menu to choose from. They have weekly specials and maybe even a “monthly ” feature menu. We had grilled cheese & tomato soup. I didn’t love the texture of the soup. It was like eating marinara sauce instead. The grilled cheese was great. I did try 5 Buffalo wings and they were good. My husband ordered a rootbeer float and it fell short. It was mainly soda with a tiny scoop of ice cream. We both laughed. The decor was fun and entertaining. Overall, I’d come back to try other menu items and because of the vibe.

I was in Cleveland from Virginia, for a graduation and Melt was so good, we ate there twice to try different sandwiches. It was great to be asked, upon entering, which menu we wanted – regular, vegan or gluten free. Fun Decor, Incredible Food (Mac and Cheese Bites are decadently delicious, Purple Parma was a great eggplant sandwich). A great dining experience!

The ever changing staff has made the experiences over the years differ. Sometimes everything is great, sometimes everything takes way to long, from slow service to slow cooking of the food. However, the last two times I have been here has been great. Good service, little wait time for food, and great taste. I feel the sandwiches have gotten smaller over the years, so for the price they can be a bit pricey. When the food comes out nice and hot and tasting good, however, it is worth it.

A trick to keep in mind: If both you and whoever you are with want the same sandwich, you can save money by getting the full size sandwich and splitting it instead of paying for two half sandwich meals.

Note: do NOT ask for sauce on the side for your fries! They charged me $0.75 just for a small cup of ranch for my fries!

Would recommend people give this place a try at least once!

We stopped in on a rainy night spur of the moment. I got the fried fish, my partner got a grilled cheese with an egg on it. The food was pretty good but skip the Mac and cheese. It’s bland. Everything else was really good, even if the Cole slaw was spicy for some reason. That said, I did think it was a little bit pricey for grilled cheese. Fries are good though.

Went inside I’m wondering why the place was EMPTY I had never seen a restaurant with just one person eating there that should’ve been the red flag for me but I was anxious to try the 6 degrees Kevin bacon drove far for it too. The sandwich was horrible ! Sooo much thick cream it was like i was eating a sauce sandwich, the bacon was not done and disgusting, whatever little meat was on there wasn’t fresh. The waiter didn’t even ask how the food was because I would’ve told her immediately that was not good and she saw the unhappy look on my face too as I was examining the sandwich wondering what I just bit into. Everything in me wanted to give that sandwich back and walk out but the place was so empty I was trying my hardest to be polite. I left half the sandwich on the table and took the other half and basically didn’t eat the sandwich at all. So gross I’m appalled really, I posted photos after the result of me examining the sandwich thoroughly realizing it’s just 2 thick layers of garlic butter, 5 pieces of thick uncooked bacon, and plenty of fat from who knows what ! This is Mentor Ohio location

This could be the best breakfast I have ever ate. The deep fried cornflake encrusted polish sausage was delicious. Deep fried biscuits with bacon sweet glaze were 200% increadible. Got the capton cruchberry french toast and was goond, not overly sweet. Wife got chick and waffle sandwhich, was perfect blend of chicken and sweetness. Drinks were perfect also.

This place is amazing! I walked in and was very pleased with the aesthetic, the decor is fantastic. I tried their vegan chicken bacon ranch mac and cheese. It was so nice to have a break from a lot of the plain, limited vegan options in the area. This was definitely some gourmet food! If I’m ever in the area again, I’ll be sure to stop and try more of their menu!

Went to the melt for dinner while driving thru Ohio. Kids loved the atmosphere and the food, as did the adults. Took a little longer than we expected to get the food but it was worth the wait. All the food we got was really good. Would definitely visit again.
