We both ordered the Michael Myers burgers without understanding that it had triple patties. A mistake on our part after a busy couple of days. It was absolutely delicious and I recommend if you’re hungry. We personally had to remove a patty to get it into our mouths, plus three patties would have been death for us. We also ordered tots, and we debated if we wanted our own larges or to just try and share. I couldn’t believe how many tots came with the large, and it was perfect for sharing. Overall, we really enjoyed this place. When I’m traveling in the area again, I’ll definitely be stopping by.

Really good burgers. Tots and onion bites were cooked really well. They forgot to put pastrami on the burger and it wasn’t worth saying anything about it. The cook was really nice when he took our order. The waitress wasn’t super friendly. All in all it’s worth stopping here.

DANG! Hey… if you want a nice small town burger joint, with great people, fantastic food and all at a very decent price… Mel’s Place is your place! For $36… very tasty crispy chicken sandwich, HUGE TRIPLE BURGER with bacon and plenty of fries with a drink. Also ordered the onion bites which are awesome! We don’t live far from here and we have found our new favorite burger place without a crowd on a Saturday! Highly recommend Mel’s!

Great experience. Love this Ma and Pa style Dairy Queen. The service is great and food is fantastic. I didn’t want to buy fries because my 3 year old never eats them but the server heard her say she wanted them and brought them out anyways for no charge! We played chess in the back and enjoyed our meal. The fries, onion rings and burgers were delicious. It’s in an older building so it could use some updated paint but when it comes to food and service it’s definitely 5 stars! Thanks for a wonderful meal, we will definitely be back regularly.

Not one, not two, but THREE HAIRS in my food. There was a white short one in my fries and one in my onion rings (looked like animal hair) and then a human head hair in my burger. Three food items and a hair in every single one of them.
I can only imagine how unsanitary their kitchen is. I was (obviously) SO disgusted that I didn’t eat any of it, it was a to-go order so I was home when I dug into the bag. We do not have any animals and the hair in our food didn’t match our own (plus it was interwoven with the the melted cheese on the burger) so there is zero chance that it came from me or my toddlers I was sharing with.
Honestly so disgusting, I’ve lost my appetite for the rest of the day.

This place has been re-opened for about a year it seems. They are clearly working on updating the place. When that is finished this could be a 5 star experience. For now let me focus on the food.
This is kind of a build your own burger place. They have singles, doubles, and triple patty options. To that you can add pastrami, ham, eggs, jalapenos… They have their own secret blend for fry sauce. And it’s tasty.
Their servings are HUGE. The kids burger is the other guys regular burger. They’re large fry or large onion bits come in a huge basket – would feed a whole family.
Everything is very reasonably priced. I would go back for sure!

Honestly some of the best food I have had in a long time! My parents have been trying to get my husband and I to eat here since their first visit. (They come about once a week lol). We finally gave in and went today, we absolutely loved it. It is the cutest place!

The battered fries are perfect. The chicken crunch salad is the best! They have watermelon sherbet, it is a MUST! And I don’t even like sherbet. They also have baked goods you can purchase (I got a bag of no-bake cookies and a peanut butter bar – both fantastic). Overall I highly recommend! Whether you’re passing through or looking for something new to try, you gotta go here!

Great place to stop and eat! The quality of the meat is top-notch. The battered fries are amazing. Try the treats, ice cream, or soft serve for a yummy snack. Stop by this restaurant for the authentic small town food. It will not disappoint. Plus, the owners are there and are super kind.
