Visited Mel’s Pine Pantry last week on our way home (back to southern Michigan) and we stumbled across this quaint place! We had a friendly waitress, cute atmosphere, and our breakfast was incredible. We loved the rustic / small business feel 🙂 Our order of Janet’s hashbrowns and cinnamon French toast was delicious.
Hopefully we will be back soon on another trip!

This place is amazing… I ordered biscuits and gravy.. Mandy ordered the French Toast.. (mine came with eggs which I promptly gave to Mandy) and the French Toast came with bacon.. Literally a “home cooked” meal.. it was fantastic!! Staff is great.. Zack (I apologize if spelled your name incorrectly) cashed us out, and with some conversation found his mom and step dad own the place… seriously top notch.. Short distance from Higgins lake… great food.. good prices.. well worth the stop.. anytime we are in town we will be stopping to eat there!

We honestly cannot recommend. The server was friendly and chatty, the building was small town cute, but the food was bland, slightly warm, not as ordered and the main reason we can’t recommend, I got food poisoning. I was fine when I walked in on an empty stomach and about 40 minutes after breakfast I was ill. After I eliminated breakfast I was mostly recovered. My husband did not become ill but he also didn’t enjoy his breakfast and would not go back.

All the food was room temperature. The cheese in the omelette was processed cheese so it’s like wax. The pancakes were burnt.

Cute little spot that brings back memories of grandma kitchen. Food was good, service a lil slow, and seating very few. Overall i still enjoyed this quaint lil gem of a place

Everything about it was so cute, but my OCD would not allow me to get past the fact that the silverware was placed loosely inside a napkin holder that was just sitting on the table, completely open to the elements. Anyone before us could’ve picked up a fork with dirty, unwashed hands and touched the other silverware. Completely unsanitary and I just couldn’t do it! I heard another table complaining about the same thing. Y’all need to wrap your silverware in napkins and call it a day!

Food was great, when it finally came. To be fair there was only two people on staff, one cook and one server. Got the eggs benny and like I say, really good.
