We stopped by because of a Google search and need for a late breakfast. We were out of town. Great little place.obviously a nice town family place. Everyone knew each other. It was great. Also bought a loaf of raisin bread after having it for breakfast. The bread, and omlete along with the blueberry pancake were good. My husband said there were too many blueberries making it soggy but I noticed he ate the whole thing. We would definitely go again when back in the area. Service was quick and very friendly.

It’s like your mother is still cooking in the back.French Toast the homemade way, cakes made by the waitress, and pan pudding (scrapple without the binding). Everyone seems to know everyone here and it’s as casual, local hometown diner as you’ll get.

It’s what you expect. A little diner that packs a punch. Great food, everyone is friendly. Decent prices on all foods. The pancakes are huge! The coffee is good. The menu isn’t something crazy. It’s your typical diner food. So if your expecting a 5 Star ⭐️ course menu go elsewhere. This diner has good ol fashioned blue collar food. Eggs, burgers, omelets, fries, etc.

Classic diner food in a classic vintage stainless steel diner at classic diner prices. Friendly service with “attitude” and a wink. Everything on the menu is good. Try the eggs Benedict; they’re perfect and that’s not easy. (Note: Open for breakfast and lunch only.)

We are not local but I found this little gem on Google maps, so we stopped here for breakfast and were not disappointed. Very good omelettes and the service was great. Didn’t have to wait on coffee refills. Would definitely recommend this place if you are in the area.

Stopped there on the way to Hershey park. This place has three G’s!! Great food, great service and great prices. Went with a party of six and everyone had a delicious breakfast. Two of us got the Belgium waffles with strawberries and that was divine. I had the cream chipped beef that was very good. The atmosphere is of a quintessential diner including music boxes at each booth. The whole place is very comfy and inviting, we can’t wait to go back and try something else on the menu!!

Came to Mel’s today and was thrown off by the energy I received when I walked in the door. I sat at the bar and both the female servers, one was blonde with glasses and the other was referred to as “Alyssa”, just looked at me. Didn’t receive a greeting or a menu, they waited until my server arrived. My server was kind and he promptly took my order despite the short staffing. The meal was awesome, loved my homemade French Toast. But, I’m unsure if I’d come back because some of the staff seemed snarky and picky with who they gave attention to. Little do they know I was a server for 5 years & always tip 20% + 😉

From start to finish Mel’s is the only diner car around making Mel’s a stand alone diner in Lebanon, if your a Philly boy like me you’ll love this place. The earlier bird specials are unbeatable in taste and price. Expect to seat yourself as the waitress will go out of her way to make sure you come back. And when you do she’ll remember something about you. UPDATE 2025: Mel’s Diner embodies the classic diner experience with its traditional dining cart design. It’s a laid-back, self-seating establishment, and that’s exactly why it stands out as the best diner in Lebanon, PA. The breakfast is exceptional. I ordered two dippy eggs, or over-easy as most people call them, along with fried potatoes and sausage links. It was absolutely delicious! I wholeheartedly recommend Mel’s Diner to anyone looking for a great meal.
