The coffee deserves special mention — truly delicious, aromatic, and made just right. It’s the kind of coffee you come back for again and again, whether for a quick stop or a relaxed meal.
A big thank you to the owner, Vladimir, for creating such a wonderful place. His attention to quality, service, and overall experience really shows. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always makes you feel welcome.
Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates excellent European cuisine, great coffee, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. This is definitely a place I will keep coming back to!
Reply to Melodia restaurant’s owner:
Your response feels defensive to me rather than understanding. Finishing a plate does not mean the food was good , it simply means we chose not to escalate the situation that evening. Unfortunately , the food experience was very disappointing. I hope my feedback will help you to improve future guest experience. But so far, I would not recommend your place to anyone!
I wasn’t even planning to eat.
I had just wrapped up a business meeting at the W Hotel down the street — suits, numbers, espresso, the usual “let’s build an empire” type of afternoon. I’m walking out, minding my own CEO-level business, and I see this elegant, polished exterior with a name I don’t recognize: Melodia.
Now listen — I’ve lived in LA for 25 years. I’ve eaten everywhere. Beverly Hills, Sunset Strip, private rooms, chef’s tables, hidden gems, overrated hype spots — you name it. So when something new pops up that actually looks refined? My radar goes off.
Curiosity activated.
I walk in.
First impression?
This is not “fancy casual.”
This is not “cute little European spot.”
This is Bellagio-meets-private-members-club-meets-executive-dining-retreat energy.
Crystal clean design. Elegant atmosphere. Sophisticated but not pretentious. Million-dollar feel without trying too hard. The kind of place where deals get signed and anniversaries get remembered.
Now here’s the real test — I ordered very specific traditional Russian and Ukrainian dishes. The kind you don’t mess around with. The kind where if they do it right, you immediately know they understand culture, heritage, and technique.
And guess what.
They didn’t just do it right.
They elevated it.
The flavors? Authentic.
The balance? Precise.
The execution? Executive-level.
And the presentation? Stunning. Not overdone. Not gimmicky. Just refined European artistry on a plate. You can feel the chef respects the roots but operates with fine-dining discipline.
This is what happens when traditional Eastern European cuisine meets high-end European culinary training. It’s fusion, but intelligent fusion. No shortcuts. No watered-down flavors for tourists.
Every bite felt intentional.
And the staff?
Absolutely adorable yet extremely professional. Warm. Attentive. Polished. No awkward hovering. No attitude. Just smooth hospitality like they actually care.
Then I meet the big boss himself — Vladimir.
Pleasant. Composed. Sharp. Business-minded. And here’s the part I respect most: he’s not just an owner — he’s involved. He personally chefs some of the dishes. That tells you everything. This isn’t a passive investment. This is pride.
You can feel leadership in the room.
In 25 years of dining in Los Angeles, I genuinely have not experienced this exact combination of authenticity, luxury, culture, and executive-level presentation in one place.
This isn’t just a restaurant.
It’s a statement.
It’s a hidden high-roller retreat disguised as a dining room.
Total gem.
If 10 stars were possible, I’d break the scale.
Melodia — welcome to the big leagues.
West Hollywood just leveled up.

(And yes, I only eat glamour.)
We ordered a variety of dishes, and everything was not only delicious but also beautifully presented.
I highly recommend this restaurant if you want to feel truly special!
