First All Leean my server was so sweet with style. I didn’t have to read the menu she gave me the goods on everything.

Mellow Mushroom is located on the American Tobacco Campus. Service was attentive and friendly here, and I liked the older building the restaurant was in. I usually dine out before the performances at DPAC and decided to try somewhere new.
I just don’t like Mellow Mushroom pizza very well. I had planned to order a salad, but then saw pizza yesterday and decided to go with that. I should have gotten the salad. I ordered the Great White. The price and size were good. I just didn’t like it. It might be the crust I’m not a fan of but pizza is one of those things we all like different styles of.
I don’t see myself returning here as I prefer other restaurants. But they have salads and burgers, so maybe I’d like those better.

This place not only has a wide variety on the menu which offers vegan, vegetarian & gluten free but also has very good quality ingredients. The food is so fresh. There is outdoor seating. We ordered sweet chili thai wings, cloud nine wing which are garlic Parmesan and the new honey sriracha. All tbe sauces were great. We couldn’t choose a favorite. We ordered a House special pizza and pepperoni pizza. All high quality ingredients hot and fresh. We also had a kids meatballs and mozzarella with marinara sauce. It was very good. Our server was Sarah. She was attentive and made sure we enjoyed our experience. We have been 2 times in one week so I guess you can say we enjoyed it.

Special shout-out to Kaitlin at the Durham Mellow Mushroom! She went above and beyond to make my catering order a success. Not only did she personally handle my order over the phone, but she also delivered it herself. Kaitlin was courteous, professional, and incredibly sweet. She even provided utensils, plates, and serving spoons for the salad, which was such a thoughtful touch. I truly appreciated her professionalism and attention to detail. Thank you, Kaitlin, for making everything seamless!

Never ate at mellow mushroom before. I am in the Durham area for the night and trying different spot. So mellow mushroom was one on the list. I came due to it being known as a pizza place. I haven’t had pizza in a while and figured it would be a different taste of pizza ( like they own signature style). Ummm… they was decent.. nothing I would rush back to for pizza. I order the Mighty Meats Pizza. Not saying it was good, because it was good.. for a pizza. My first order the Chicken Philly with no bread . He said it was delicious.

Solid 5 stars here for sure. To be honest I am generally not a big fan of chain restaurants and tend to explore more unique locations. This particular venue is definitely outstanding and here is why: There were 11 of us who just strolled in around lunch time on a beautiful Thursday afternoon. They pulled tables together, smiled and sat us within 3 minutes. Drink orders were quickly taken and quickly delivered. Lunch orders were taken, I ordered the House Special pizza and requested no onions and to add jalapenos, they said no problem. Everyone’s order came out quickly and within 3 minutes of each other, they were all correct including my no onions add jalapenos pizza. Drinks were continuously topped off and we were asked if we needed anything and that if everything was okay. Everyone loved their food, my was piled high with goodies and more than I could eat! (They provided a to-go box for those needing them). They are located right next to the Durham Bulls ball field and pardon the pun but they “Hit it out of the park”. Please give them a try! 13/10 for sure

Great food. Everything we had was delicious. However, it took so long to get our order taken, it took a very long time to get our food and the appetizer came after we had eaten the majority of our meal, even though we asked for it several times and no one came to refill our drinks, again we had to ask. We were there for an hour and a half.
