Stopped yesterday for lunch with my wife but we were disappointed with the food. Service was good but the pizza far worst from my previous experiences at other Mellow Mushroom restaurants. We started off by ordering the rolz, but tasted like they were reheated. As for the pizza, the crust was underproofing, and the border looked like it was crunchy but it was soft. Don’t plan to return to that specific restaurant despite the good service.

Had the best time at mellow mushroom in dawsonville. Our server Peyton was amazing. He made sure we had what we needed and asked us if we needed ranch when we forgot to even ask. He was very patient with my autistic son when my son wanted to order his own food and asked the bar tender if we could have an alcoholic drink without the alcohol. He smiled and was kind and considerate and even talked with us about the type of pizza we ordered giving us options of things when we didn’t remember the two of sauce we wanted. We will definitely be coming back because of Peyton. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

Saturday 02/14, we stopped in to pick up lunch.
First off, this is probably one of the nicest Mellow Mushrooms I’ve seen. I really like the layout, the finishes, but my favorite place is the bar area. So to the bar I went to order our to go food and have some beers while we waited.
I got a pizza and it was classic Mellow Mushroom. I’m a big fan of their crust, sauce and cheese. I’m not a fan of their sausage crumbles, but it’s fine. My daughter and my wife ordered hoagies and they were fine.
At the bar, they have a lot of on tap beer choices including a few local choices which is nice. Our bartender played double duty in getting us drinks and taking our to go order. Service was fast and friendly.
A lesser talked about bonus is that they have Tesla Level 2 chargers that I was able to charge my car at while I waited for our food. Not high speed (level 3), but still decent charging speed to top off while you wait. Pricing on the charging was very reasonable and it was very easy to get started.
We’ll be back again for lunch/dinner soon.

We come here almost weekly for Friday night pizza, a family tradition. We love the Greek salad – their Esperanza sauce is amazing. I always order the same pizza for myself: the Kosmic Karma (add sausage). It is hands down my favorite pizza ever ever ever. There’s something so special about Mellow’s pizza dough.. it’s so delicious I fear I could never recreate it at home. I also love to dip my crust in their spicy beer cheese. Yum!! The service at this location is good, but beware of the crowds after 6, of course. I might even get there before 530 so I don’t have to wait forever to be seated. But there’s a reason there’s a wait.. the pizza is too dang good!! One thing to note is that the parking is limited, so if you get there during prime time you’re gonna have to park either at the Burn Boot Camp next door or the apartment complex behind it. No biggie though, all in walking distance.

Hands down, best pizza in Dawson! Superb customer service, easy to order both in store and online. To-go staff is super friendly and offers picnic supplies- utensils, paper plates, napkins, and parmesan cheese at no extra cost. Food was fresh, delicious and cooked perfectly! Kudos to the staff from the front to the back of the kitchen and management. Don’t forget to try one of their triple chocolate house made cookies and the pretzel bites with beer cheese- no regrets there! Thank you MM, we’ll be back!

It was nice except the waiter didnt put pizza order until later and apologized for delay and put them in and it was nice but… no discount after being 30 mins delay and waiters fault… besides that, it was a great place. Will visit again and will tried check with my waiter by remind them to put the order in

This place is great, Peyton our server is great very helpful , nice, and knowledgeable. He’s customer service is great, and I’m a stickler for customer service. I’d definitely come back here. As always the food is great especially being gluten free and dairy free that’s hard for me to find. Thank you mellow mushroom.

Our waitress, Jackie was incredible, the service was fantastic. I ordered the new smash burger with tots and the Mal’s sauce..the sauce was far too sweet for the burger and tots. The burger was beyond greasy and under cooked. The pepperoni rolls were delicious with the creamy pesto sauce, and the dessert brownie was great! Maybe a little less ice cream, but thats a personal opinion. Overall, it was a great experience but I will not be ordering the burger again.

Wife and I happened to be nearby and have always loved MM, so we stopped in for beer and pizza and everything was fantastic. Lacey took great care of us, and the pizza was as great as always! The mushrooms and cheese got both of our attention, and were obviously fresh and freshly prepared! We’ll make the drive over often now that we found this location!

Jennifer is one of the worst bartenders to work at Mellow Mushroom. I asked for a double tall vodka soda and she pulled out a rocks glass and asked if that was fine. Umm, if one thinks a rocks glass is a tall, maybe find a new career. We pointed out that they brought back plastic straws and she said they’ve had them for a long time. We were there 3 weeks ago and they still had the gross paper straws. Maybe 3 weeks is a long time for her. We ordered the new rollz and she asked if we wanted the hot honey drizzle that comes on it. What? Where does it say it comes with that? And to top it off, she overcharged us and made it seem like we were the ones trying to scam her. My husband only had two beers but she charged us for three. When I pointed this out, she said, “that’s fine”. That’s fine? How about I’m sorry, I don’t know how that happened or my apologies, I’ll fix that right away. Or even my mistake, you’re right. The last interaction with her was unbelievable.
We’ve been here several times and the service has been lacking. The menu has changed and not for the better. Bring back the actual pretzels and the classic meatballs. Doubt we will be back. With all the pizza places in town, MM can’t afford to keep operating like this.
