Stopped by this place by accident, and my family fell in love he with it immediately. It was empty when we got in, and then it started getting crowded. Music was good, the staff was extremely nice, and the food was great! The chips and salsa were extremely fresh as well as their juice. Tacos were not bad at all! Would definitely stop by here again if we’re around the area.

The food was TOP NOTCH! Never have had a bad experience in this restaurant since I started going here 3 years ago. The pupusas are to die for, and the tacos are amazing!!!! There’s chips and salsa when you go in and it’s all fresh. The one thing I would suggest is the atmosphere. Maybe better lights, or updated decor, but regardless the service and food is 100/10! Thank youuuu!

Google brought us here as we stopped by for a quick dinner. For a party of 6, we ordered Tamarind Juice, Salvadoran style Horchata and Atole de Elote, all of which came in generous portions and were delicious. Loved to try the Salvadoran Style Horchata which is differently made from the Mexican one.
For food we had ordered Pupusas with different fillings accompanied by the Curtido/Coleslaw and Salsa pots, all of which were great in taste. As most of the Central/Latin American restaurants, we were given a complimentary portion of corn chips and a very fresh tasting salsa.
A wholesome little spot with Low prices and large portions combined with Friendly service, has decent vegetarian options. Will be coming back for more!

The server was friendly and the environment was nice. I ordered Pupusas de loroco. They are stuffed tortillas with cheese and a Salvadoran edible flower. To be honest, my Pupusas were overcooked. They were toasted. The curtido had sauce in it. I usually eat the curtido (which is a cabbage slaw without sauce). However, I ordered the same Pupusas to go and was very pleased! The to go order was perfectly cooked and flavorful. The curtido was delicious. The Pupusas were soft. Although I was underwhelmed when I ate at the restaurant the take out redeemed them for me.

Such a very authentic Mexican and South American little hot spot. Just opened , Melina’s is finding a fine customer base after the previous Vietnamese spot closed down.
The only difficult thing I found was selecting a dish. They all looked so delicious on the menu. I chose the shredded pork and chicken with rice, vegetables and beans with a delectable sauce.
Serving sizes are excellent, and the service is impeccable.
As you cruise up Main street in E Hartford, you cannot miss it right in downtown. Bring your appetite!

I saw mice roam around. Probably the fastest I’ve walked out a restaurant. Never going again as it seems that they don’t care about quality control.
