I’m genuinely so confused. We ordered take out for a burger platter and a chicken tender platter…. And we were given literally a burger patty and a singular chicken tender… that’s it no sides no bun for the burger nothing that’s it. I don’t know whether to laugh or cry I’ve never had something like this happen.

A sign of a good restaurant is when the parking lot is almost full. We stopped at the Mel-O-Dee for lunch. I was surprised we were seated right away as crowded as it was. I ordered the Mel-O-Dee burger with french fries and their homemade coleslaw. My wife ordered the fish sandwich with french fries and coleslaw. The Mel-O-Dee burger had a special sauce that was homemade. The food was excellent and portion size was above average. Carol our waitress was awesome. She was very quick to take our drink order. She was very quick to take our food order as well. She was always coming by and checking on us. The food was prepared and was delivered quickly. The checkout process was done quickly. Everyone was especially nice and very friendly. This is a great restaurant with a lot of menu items. A great place to dine at.

The food arrived promptly, and the customer service was exceptional. I’ll definitely be returning for another visit.

I have been to the Mel-O-Dee several times over the years. Their chicken is good and the homemade bread is really good. I recently had the open faced serlion smothered in mashed potatoes and gravy. It was a big portion but it did not have a lot of flavor…….the staff is nice……the service was really slow…….they have a big menu to choose from. It’s ok…..but nothing to call home and brag about.

Love the homemade bread that comes with a meal. I had tenderloin and was sadly surprised. It was really small and a bit over cooked. The fried apples are a wonderful treat .My baked potato was more steamed and when I cut into it it was over cooked and had a bad spot which they could not have known about. They quickly replaced it with whatever potato Dish I wanted so I had the mashed and they were very good.

Food was great, service was spot on, even though we thought they closed at 9pm, but they closed at 8pm, and we showed up at 7:45! They were totally accommodating. Definitely going back!! Good home cooking!!
