Great little restaurant with amazing food. Nice atmosphere and vibe. Great place for tea or coffee and a treat. Plan to return for for afternoon tea in the future. Highly recommended.

Incredible value in the Cream tea set, and the February Love Potion themed set was fruity and delicious. Everything handmade, including the Macron which was shaped like a heart! Great atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff and worth a visit. They have regular breakfast items, coffee as well, etc.

Pastry was doughy and the filling was bland. Too much whipped cream to cover the sins of a poorly made coconut cream. The chocolate pudding was decent. The Chai tea was good. The chairs outside are starting to break down and they need better napkins.

This is such a cute little cafe! We have been here quite a few times and each time it’s absolutely amazing! They have the most delicious and tastiest drinks and food! It is always so flavorful, sweet and savory! Prices are decent as well! We even had my daughters birthday party here and it was absolutely wonderful! They created their own cupcakes and the price was unbeatable! The Staff is always so sweet and friendly. The restaurant itself is absolutely adorable inside with the most beautiful decor, clean and smells so wonderful. My kids absolutely adore this place. They also have a little toy area for kiddos to play! It is truly such a fun little place to take the family or meet up with friends!

Plenty of parking, little kid friendly, light and bright atmosphere, changing table in bathroom, accessibility handles for bathroom. Need to have a reservation to have a high tea or an afternoon tea. I had a cream tea + French onion soup + club sandwich. Everything was the perfect temperature, food and tea were delicious. I went on a Wednesday at 11 AM. Quiet, not busy at that time. Order and pay at the counter, they bring the food to your table.
I went as a single eater. I will bring my spouse and 5 year old next time. There’s a smaller table with a castle and toys for the younger patrons. There is also a “Unicorn Tea” on the menu for kids. I think my little boy will like this.
Service was impeccable and I recommend this place as a south Snoho County location. I wish more high tea places were in south Snoho County. Grateful for the ease of location and parking instead of having to drive to Seattle or up north to Marysville.

Wow! This was my fourth time visiting Mel and Mia’s and I am beyond impressed every time. Not only is the food great, but the service is always very excellent. Somehow they manage to make you feel important and well taken care of, despite having a busy restaurant. The prices are quite good for everything that you get (including bottomless tea!). Lastly, if you have a littler one who would enjoy a fancy atmosphere, then the unicorn tea is perfect! It is so magical (pink hot chocolate with glitter anyone?) – I found myself wishing that I was young again and could order it for myself! Overall, highly recommend this place.

This is my favorite restaurant in the area!! I’ve been here many many times and everyone I’ve brought has absolutely fallen in love with Mel and Mia’s! The staff are always chipper and friendly, the food is amazing, and everything is very affordable. My absolute favorite is the biscuit breakfast sandwich. The buttery biscuit has the perfect texture and the subtle sweetness balances well with the cheese and sausage. I always try something new when I go to Mel and Mia’s as everything is delicious my only wish is that it was open every day of the week!! This is the gem of Edmonds, and it deserves a 5/5 stars.

I contacted them through their website for afternoon tea for one person. They’re pretty responsive via email. Had to change the date from what I originally wanted due an event, but I was flexible so it worked out.
When I walked in I was going to ask the person at the register what I needed to do/where to go, but the person working the tea room noticed I was dressed fancy, confirmed I was here for tea and escorted me to the right area while they were on their way in to help with another table.
The tea room is in a separate area from the main cafe. Three tables set for four people each. Music was a nice touch to set the ambiance.
I had afternoon tea, which wasn’t quite as much food as high tea. (Their website is up to date with what both entail.)
I chose the salad over soup and it was good…a little subtle with flavors and a small (side size) portion. The rest of the assortment seemed very sweet aside from the tea sandwiches…a scone with spreads and various cookies. Tasty, but sweet. I tried all three sandwiches – cucumber, strawberry and cream and meat and cheese, but didn’t really favor one over any other. Also there was a sprinkle of parsley(?) on them, which I flicked off, but IMO was unnecessary. I also had chosen the raspberry tea. Also very subtle in flavors and I added the milk cause why not and it was good too.
If you want a cute little cafe tea time experience then I recommend checking them out.

I love this place. We did not have a reservation as we showed up and was inquiring information about their tea service. The lady said, although they request a reservation, they could accommodate us if we waited 15 to 20 minutes. The food was so good. We had ordered afternoon tea which comes with little tea sandwiches, the best vanilla bean scones, jam and cream you could ask for and little various pastries. The ambience was great too as someone even showed up with a picture of the queen on their car. It makes you feel like you’re in Britain with all the music and tea cups and no matter what you get will be five stars.

If you want to have (with no exaggeration) the worlds best food and pastries, and even better, the worlds best customer service, this is where to go. our food was worth every penny. Not only is the owner amazing and fun to talk to, but it truly is a family owned business. When I told the owner, what a fantastic experience we had, she said “because we care.” And you can truly taste it in the food. I HAD to get stuff to bring home. I saw all of the employees truly enjoy working at their jobs. I saw them put real care and effort into every drink they were making, even though they were super busy. Every single pastry looks like the photos or better. This is the first time I had a cucumber sandwich and now I understand why this recipe has been around forever because it was perfect. It’s cold November and when I bit into it I felt like I was in the spring sunshine. It was crisp and delicious. The pistachio Macarons are so amazing. If you’ve never had a macron, this is the one to start. We were lucky enough to book a reservation for high Tea. Not only was the China absolutely adorable, and I couldn’t decide which one I love the most. Our several different choices of tea were delicious. I got to try so many different new an amazing things that I highly recommend it.
Also, the women’s bathroom is adorable with such cute mermaid theme!
