Unfortunately, I have to change my rating. I went for lunch with my 2 besties. They both had pho and I had the massaman curry. It was all delicious, I forgot to take pictures because I was starving but it all looked great. We had the shrimp tempura appi, which are from Costco. And we also had the fried chicken wings, which were bland and pretty dry. And I mean dry in the way that it was old and they dropped them in the dryer to reheat them. I had pork belly in my curry, which was good but thinking about it later, some of it was gummy and dry so probably old. I was only able to eat a few bites before I packed up the rest. My friends said their food was delicious as well.
Anyway, not even an hour after leaving, I had a an appointment to get to across town, and almost shat myself on the way. I made it to a bathroom and the appointment, but then became violently ill as soon as I got home and lived on my toilet for a few hours. I had the sweats, stomach cramps, nausea, the whole gambit and am finally starting to feel better. One of my friends also got sick.
So I won’t be back and I’m changing my review to 1 star.
My bestie took me here for lunch one day and it was soooo good. It’s a hole in the wall place, and you’d miss it if you haven’t been there. But it’s so well decorated and ambient on the inside.
The waitress was pleasant. The food was great! Big portions, pricing wasn’t bad at all. I’ve been wanting to go here for a long time and I’m glad I finally made it. I will be back.

This is an awesome place. I will certainly come back. The soup broth was just right, noodles were tasty, and the chicken wasn’t dried out. It was still fall apart juicy. It also wasn’t expensive

First Impressions & Doordash Experience.
I was feeling more on getting the pork belly for lunch and was excited to try theirs. I will say that I was highly disappointed. They either gave me old stock porkbelly or they overly cooked it to the point that it was really hard and dry. I was basically extreme training my new jawline trying to eat these as hungry as I was. While it is a doordash order, the food quality is the restaurants fault. Therefore, it’s not very inviting to try to eat at the place in person. I will thank them for the new chiseled chin.

One of my favorite spots to go to. The food is delicious. The most coziest place. Inviting atmosphere. This restaurant is always clean. Beautiful and welcoming decor. I invite ALL tourists to take a walk around Mt. View and give the people, the culture and the awesome varietal restaurants a try.

holy moly I am ashamed to be a mtn view resident as this was my first time trying mekong. I have had pho from almost every place in anchorage and theirs is next level and the portions are HUGE. 10/10 will be going back as long as I live here. if you haven’t tried them out, what are you doing????

Order is from Door dash. Our food came hot, and delish! We got everything’s we asked for 🙂 I got cucumber salad, pork larb, chicken, and khapoon. Everything was cooked great, seasoned well not salty or bland. Best larb in town, love the quality and herbs. Comes with big portions and great herbs! Love the Lao cuisine, I’ll be back . Everything was fresh no complaints from This order.

We visited Mekong Pho on 08/14/2025 and unfortunately had a poor experience with our server, Natalise. When taking our order, she made mistakes that resulted in us not getting what we asked for. When we politely requested an additional plate, she rolled her eyes, which felt dismissive and unprofessional. She was also wearing earbuds while serving, which made it seem like she wasn’t fully engaged with guests. Overall, this took away from the dining experience, and I hope management addresses these behaviors so future customers feel more welcomed and respected. If I can give zero stars for customer service I would.

My favorite spot to get Kaopiak. The portion and price is worth it! I love that they give you all cuts of the chicken and not only dry breasts. The flavor is great so I will keep supporting. All the other food are ok.

My husband and I had dinner at Mekong Pho in Mountain View, Anchorage, Alaska. If you haven’t been there, you gotta go! The food blew me away. So delicious, excellent customer service, the food came out so fast. Talented chef, great workers! The ambiance is relaxing and their decor took me by surprise. Kinda expected it to be like most stores and restaurants in the View- older and a bit outdated but it is not at all like that. It looks new or newly renovated, modernized and tastefully done. Pleasantly surprised all the way around. Can’t believe I’ve lived in Mountain View, pretty much since I moved to Alaska and never knew about this resturant!!
