Possibly the best pho I’ve had in America. Packed full of flavor and great portions. The beef meatballs are delicious! Definitely recommend and definitely will be visiting again. For me personally the atmosphere also adds to the experience, some of the best places I’ve eaten have been at “hole in the wall” restaurants. I wouldn’t necessarily consider this a hole, but pretty close.

It was a very windy and cold day, perfect for Pho. Searched Google for something close and found this place. Reviews were good so worth a try. Anyone unfamiliar with the area may find it a little tricky to find. Anyone familiar with the area, well…. If you know you know. It’s in the food court off of Charles Street in downtown Baltimore so it’s open to anyone who wants to stroll through. Employees were super friendly and inviting. The prices were fantastic. Anyone who eats Pho regularly knows some bowls are upwards of $16.00. The bowls were large and so were the portions for $11.00. The Pho was fresh, hot, and delicious. Had a very unique and distinct flavor compared to other places I’ve tried. The lemon grass beef wraps were huge and also reasonably priced. Overall an excellent lunch.

This is a Vietnamese spot I’ve heard great things about for a long time but I only very recently was able to visit! It’s a bit out of the way and hard to find (it’s in the food court at this location, see my pics) and the atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired. Yet, despite all that, it’s is 5 star based on the food, the price, and the service. If you’re in the area and enjoy Vietnamese I can’t recommend it enough. It’s also going to be my new go to spot for whenever I have jury duty as it’s walking distance from the courthouse. The only thing I will say is that for any Bahn Mi lovers, it’s not on the menu.

Summer rolls were superb! Also, great portion size for the price. Inflation has definitely impacted their menu prices though, so I went ahead and included some pics of their updated menu. Hope this helps!

As a half Vietnamese person myself, I am so disappointed and disgraced to even call this restaurant Vietnamese cuisine. The pho was sincerely the worst pho I’ve ever had in my life. The broth was so flavorless and sweet that it’s just sugar water. It’s actually the first time I’ve never drank or finished the broth. I ordered the combo pho, and it was just a bunch of stale meat with rubber tasting “meatballs” plopped on top of overcooked noodles. My partner had the rare steak pho, but the “rare” meat was overcooked and tough as boots as well. What’s the point of charging your bowls $11-12 when clearly there is not even any effort put into preparing the broth or cooking the ingredients properly? My dollar store tea bags are more flavorful than this. The owner was not very friendly nor offered knowledgeable advice. I told him my pho was way too sweet and that I need something like fish sauce to balance it out, but he tried giving me hoisin sauce when hoisin sauce will actually make it sweeter. I am honestly in disbelief that this business has 4.6 stars. I’d rather pay more money for less disgusting quality. This literally ruined my day and left a bad taste in my mouth. I’ll just stick to Pho Bac next time.

Let me start by saying I rarely review food places, but the food here was so good that I felt compelled to share.

I really had high hopes for this place after all the rave reviews, but my fried rice was burnt. No veggies mixed in and I tasted not a hint of garlic. Also missing the tomatoes it was supposed to come with. Prices are ~$2 higher than shown on Google. The cashier was friendly though. I’d be willing to give it another try someday.

I have been coming here for about six years and it is the best pho I have ever had, hands down. I eat A LOT of pho, I think I’ve tried about a dozen different pho restaurants in the Baltimore metro area in the last ten years, and this place easily surpasses them. The owners are super friendly and I have never had a single meal that was less than stellar. The summer rolls are great, and the lemongrass tofu is so flavorful. If you are downtown and in need of a tasty very filling meal, please go to Mekong!
