Dans un cadre bourgeois et boisé, savourez une cuisine traditionnelle faisant la part belle aux grands classiques de la gastronomie alsacienne. Aux Escargots à l’Alsacienne se mêlent Bibalaskas aux Pommes de Terre Sautées & Munster, Rognons de Veau émincés « Paul Meistermann » et ses Spätzelés ou encore les traditionnelles tartes flambées. Concoctés à partir de produits frais, principalement sélectionnés auprès de producteurs locaux, nos mets sont entièrement fait maison.

Recommended by the guy in the tea shop around the corner, he told us it was the best restaurant in Colmar, and he was probably right. We opted for the recommendation of the waiter, Choucroute Garnie, and I must say that it was amazing, the cabbage, the 4 different pieces of meat, smoked lovely flavour, mmm…it was superb. All wash down with a really chilled Pinot Blanc from the region, fantastic!

Stopped in at Meistermann for a classic experience, and it didn’t disappoint. I ordered the traditional tarte flambée, which arrived light, perfectly crisp, and generously topped. The restaurant itself has a warm, traditional charm, the kind of place where you quickly notice that many of the patrons are regulars, which says a lot. I finished my meal with a well-pulled espresso, the perfect end to a satisfying visit.

Good food but incredibly rude service and extremely poor customer service. The staff and owners were discriminatory and inattentive. I was in the queue to pay but the owner acted as if I was not there or did not see me, fidgeting her stuff and doing mindless things for a good 5 mins, until she acknowledge that I had to pay. I had to rush for the train and was almost late because of this.
The other restaurants I tried in Alsace were all nice and accommodating, but this restaurant must be have the worst and rudest customer service in the whole of Colmar.

Finally experienced how the French people dine, mainly for hours, enjoying food, wine and their company. A 3 course meal plus white wine. The pizza was good, simple with just cheese and ham, plus thin crust. Then waited for a long time for our fish of the day.m, which turns out to be mediocre even though it fits my keto diet minus the potatoes. I simply don’t like creamy stuff. Then the fruit salads and lastly the white wine, best ever wine I ever had. So smooth. If you ever come, order their wine and pizza (have it hot).
