Once entered, we were immediately greeted with a wonderful smile, and they were happily to assist us. After being escorted to our table, which was delightfully fun to experience; because it had a Japanese sliding door style that added to the pleasant atmosphere of the interior. The service we received was outstanding. Everyone who came to our table to assist was pleasant and helpful!
Now the food:
Octopus Salad – 5 ☆ The cold salad had a lot of flavors, refreshing from the cucumbers, and the Octopus was just right not to chewy.
Grill Squid – 4.5 ☆ It was deliciously good, but I believe the spices that were used may have been a bit powerful. But overall, it was still delightful with lemon and the spicy mayo.
House salad/Miso soup – 5 ☆ When going to a sushi place, you can tell by their salads and miso soups. Overall, both were amazing and rewarding, in my opinion. Especially the house salad. The dressing they used for their salad was addictively delicious and flavorful.
Kids meal bento – 5 ☆ The size of the portions was surprisingly large. He was happy and was full. He had leftovers for the next following day! The chicken teriyaki were cooked perfectly and weren’t overbearing saucy.
Bubble Roll (no fish eggs)- 5 ☆ Yes, Yes and YES! I really enjoyed this roll. I would highly recommend this roll. It was very light but yet had an amazing texture and taste. This was my favorite.
49er (no fish eggs) – 5 ☆ This roll was delicious as well. The tuna inside was different from the other 49er rolls we’ve had before. So, the red tuna made it a bit more smokey taste to it. Which resulted in a great blend with the salmon on top. I would recommend it if you enjoy tuna with salmon.
We also received a pleasant surprise of a complimentary corn tempura!! The whole group really enjoyed this side dish. It was new and different for all of us. Perfectly fried and battered corn. Soooo good.
Overall, the whole experience was unbelievably fun and enjoyable. The atmosphere and the service were A++++, and the food was fresh and packed with flavor. I will definitely be back and will recommend this place to others.
::: Oh, sorry, side note – Warning: they do add a hot sauce fee of a 1$ but for us, it was worth it. We enjoy our Sriracha too much :::

Meiko sushi gave an incomplete pick up order twice.I didn’t complain or call them the first time as my family and I go there often however recently I ordered an item from dinner menu and was sent an appetizer instead and I charged full price for the dinner item.
I called them and I was given a number to call a person called Roger who said they will issue me a refund however it has been 5 days and I have not received any refunds.

Delish food! I really enjoyed my bento box. I had teriyaki salmon, mixed tempura, and gyoza served with rice, salad and miso soup. They have a fried crab appetizer and a corn batter appetizer both are very good. Their sushi is fresh and delicious. The owner, Duc, is friendly and enjoys his customers. The cooking and wait staff are friendly and efficient. I love this restaurants decor. They have private booths perfect for business/romantic lunches and dinners plus regular booths. The place is well organized and clean. I look forward to the pleasant atmosphere each time I go. I know you will enjoy the food and ambiance as well.

So, after watching a flag football in the cold last night, my niece was playing in, we were hungry and thinking about having sushi and Agadashi Tofu and found this amazing place, Meiko Sushi! We were greeted nicely by the server there and ordered Bento Boxes and sushi! We were served the warm tea and miso soup in the beginning, then dinner. The food was ABSOLUTELY delicious I can’t say enough the server last night was really gracious to us and really impressed by this! I think we were only people there in the restaurant and we felt very special by the food and the server very well! Definitely come to this restaurant!! You will not be disappointed!! Great food and excellent service!! Thank you ❤️❤️

I had a very disappointing experience at this place. I was initially greeted with a laughing expression by a customer service representative, but once she realized that I was asking to use the restroom, her demeanor immediately changed. She responded with an unhappy expression and stated that the restroom was not for public use, then walked away.
After stepping outside, I called her back and explained the urgency of my situation, but she still denied access. While I understand that she has the right to refuse restroom use, on humanitarian grounds some consideration could have been shown in a moment of genuine need.
Based on this experience, I do not recommend this place. The friendliness seemed conditional—only present when money was involved. In times of need, there was no empathy or willingness to help, which is disappointing for a business that is part of the Pleasanton community.

went on a Sunday evening for dinner. got the dinner bento box— tuna sashimi, sake sashimi, dashi tofu. soooo good with the salad and side of rice. also very happy I ordered the hot tea— very cozy and comforting. they were kind to give me miso soup and edamame on the house, which was also very good and generous. service was prompt and servers were friendly. all that for $30ish! reasonable prices, high quality food.

Always solid! Sashimi is where it is at! Service is slow but not a deal breaker. Prices are extremely reasonable. It’s definitely a spot I visit when I’m in town consistently.
