Our usual spot was closed early so we decided to follow the lines and try something new, and boy I’m glad we did. Got a half pound of roast pork and half of a Peking duck and we demolished it outside on chairs like animals. The five spice infused shoyu sauce is fire as well, really good blend of sweet and salty. Maybe my favorite new Chinese style BBQ on island!

Amazing spot for Chinese style bbq. We got a 3 meat combo for $20 and they loaded it up- it was plenty of food for 2! We tried the crispy pork belly, char siu, and roast duck an all were phenomenal. Excellent food at a very affordable price.

I’ve been picking up Cha Siu and roast duck for years from Fong’s meat market since I travel often from the Big Island to Oahu and there aren’t any good Chinese meat markets here. That being said, yesterday I found Mei Mei Chinese barbecue yesterday and fell in love with their Cha Siu and Roast Duck. I ordered 8 dollars of the Cha Siu and 1/2 roast duck which was moist and flavorful. As my broken Cantonese understanding struggled to listen to their 8 years in business before they moved to their current location with her husbands guidance, found a new favorite for my favorites over rice.

Found this place by chance and the food was surprisingly good with big portions at a resonable price. My family really enjoyed the Cantonese roasted duck and the sweet char siu. Will come back for it.

Go here!! 8 dollar lunch special with char siu and roast pork, side of rice and gai lan. Food is amazing. Char siu is moist and flavorful.
When you are done turn to your left to papa’s cafe and get the lilikoi and calamansi green tea – delicious.

The duck here is better then Roast Duck Kitchen, unfortunately the roast pork is not. I’m not BIG on duck but if I wanted it again I would certainly come back here

Asked for lunch special for $8.00 that was on display window at 2:00 pm. Didn’t think I was getting the display meal but I did. How long was it sitting there not anywhere by a warmer…is this safe to EAT??? Food poisoning? Health dept should look at how they serve this !!! My fault for accepting this…should have refused it. My wife got the char sui and got fresh hot rice and bbq sitting in the warmer window. That is why they got the 1 rating for the luncheon….

Clean, organized, priced right for exceptional friendly service and amazing flavors.
Duck and char siu with noodle. Roast pork. All divine and moisture, flavorful without dripping grease. Would eat here regularly and with gusto if we were local. Worth hunting through the various BBQ stands and houses to pick Mei Mei Chinese Style BBQ. As good as any we have had anywhere and better than most.
5/5 88888 to the shop! Thank you for the wonderful lunch.

The Char Siu Noodles are worth the trip down to Chinatown. The couple who run the place are no-nonsense so know what you want. Then broth was light but flavorful and aromatic and complements the noodles well. The Char Siu is sliced to order and is tender and juicy. Seating is shared with the rest of the market.

The char sui with noodle is one of my favorite meals on the island. The duck is good as well. Always hits the spot.
