The dishes are consistent, hearty, rich and the naan is so delicious. The tikka masala is perfectly nostalgic, the saag lamb and saag paneer are fantastic, the malai kofta is one of my favorites of all time and the roasted eggplant curry (bahgain bartah?) lives in my dreams.
The people who run this place are fantastic, and it’s always clean and relaxed inside.
They also independently do local delivery which is really cool in the era of Doordash. I live down the street and my friends and I love to order it for dinner parties.
I’ll definitely be stopping by again!
Oh and the prices makes it even that much better!
People who seem be raving good reviews about this mehak restaurant, clearly haven’t tasted real Indian food . its a blissful experience if one visits the right place. The food we ordered had loads of coloring , salty and absolutely bland.Even a seemingly ordinary restaurant by the side of a non de-script road in India would serve way better food than at Mehak restaurant.
I am not writing this review under any prejudice, its just that i felt compelled after my experience to advise people to avoid such carcino genic (the colors used ) food for their own health and also this is nowhere close to authentic Indian Food.
I ordered the chicken Malai, garlic naan, and mango lassi.
I tend to like creamy curries like koorma, but I am also ilevro spicy food, so I ordered it spicy and it was perfectly seasoned and delicious.
I also appreciate how they serve it in little brass bowls , so that I can dole it out on to my plate as I see fit. But the real news here is the Naan. They make some truly high-quality Naan here, crispy and delicious on the top, with the Ghee baked in, and the mango lassi was surprisingly fresh.
I would give them 5 stars, but they need to get their bathroom together.
All in all highly recommended, delicious food
Highly disgusted. Very dissatisfied , please check your food before eating here.
In addition, the plain naan I ordered was instead fried layered paratha garlic.
I ended up throwing the food away as it didn’t taste right.
