Just passing through and wanted to try something different. This seemed like the place for our family of 5. Went in and it was packed. It is very small and its split up with half convenient gas station store and mini restaurant. We waited to be seated but sadly after a bit of waiting, we decided to leave. Hope to give it a try when in the area next time.

We love The Meeting Place so much! We live in Beckley but it is well worth the drive! We had the pot roast and it was the most tender roast ever! You barely had to chew it! Everything was so good and amazing homemade deserts also!

Every time we go to WV we make sure to stop at the Meeting Place. The food is delicious, the service is warm and friendly, and the vibe is casual and home-spun.
Don’t miss the fried chicken- you’ll wait a bit for it, but it is WORTH the wait!

They have really great, classic,comfort food. Fresh and made to order. Homemade cakes and pies.

This is a hidden gem inside a gas station . We had salad bar, baked potatoe, and buggers. The food was freshly made, tasteed awesome. Definitely worth an hour drive to eat here. We are blessed to have a home cooked meal hidden in the hills if West Virginia! The atmosphere was pleasant, service was great! We will definitely come back & bring along family and friends. !

I was in need of a place to park my rig late on a Friday night as snow started to fall. This spot was easy to find, located directly off the highway. The lot was large, well lit, and easy to navigate even in the snow. There was still ample parking available at 9PM. The next morning I ventured into the store and the restaurant to get some water and order breakfast. The restrooms in the store were a bit lackluster, but still above average for a small truck stop. The restaurant, however, exceeded my expectations. I was greeted by a friendly waitress and given a menu, she offered recommendations and I ordered a bacon egg & cheese with hashbrowns to-go. My total was $8.99. There were lots of locals sitting down for breakfast and coffee, I could tell they came here often. My biscuit was hot and delicious. It had a freshly fried egg on it, good bacon, and american cheese. If I could complain about anything it would be that the egg needed some seasoning (salt, pepper). Overall this place was a breath of fresh air from the usual corporate truck stops. I will be coming here again in the future.

I had a family member tell me that the food here was wonderful. I had tasted their coconut cream pie at a family event. She advised it was right off the Alta exit of I-64 and was attached to a gas station. When I arrived i saw that they had a special for the day. For $5.95 they had the potato soup with either a grilled cheese sandwich or cornbread. My wife got the grilled cheese and I got the cornbread. I also got a piece of coconut cream pie.
The potato soup was fantastic, as was the grilled cheese sandwich. The cornbread was tasty but was a bit crumbly. We ended up buying an entire pie to bring to another family event we are currently having. The food here is delicious and I can’t wait to stop again very soon. Two thumbs up!

This was a great place my first time to stop for breakfast after a lengthy drive down the interstate. My omelet and biscuit were delicious. I stopped by recently for lunch and had an amazing burger called the Spicy Don with fries.
