Been to many Thai restaurants throughout London (I have a Thai partner), but this new addition to Hampstead is up there with the very best. Outstanding Weeping Tiger, and the staple Green Curry was as good as it gets. Pleasant ambience and service. Will definitely be back, and will drag a couple of my local friends with me. Highly recommended! *****

Great service, great atmosphere. Fresh crunchy spring rolls, tender chicken… I had a delicious Prawn Pad Thai whilst my companion had a brazenly spicy Thai green curry. All food perfectly cooked, tasting fresh and rich with flavour.

We ordered food for delivery and it was dreadful. Hard to say anything positive about the experience.

I love Thai food, and this restaurant has been a wonderful surprise! Loved it!!

Three of us went for a lunch catch up social, and had booked some 2 weeks in advance, and got the best table in the house, and note this is a very small bistro!

First great thing, the list of choices is so long, and you can go a la carte, or set-menu. We went for the latter, 3-course – which turned out to be the best choice!

I had the teriaki skewers for starter, it came really quick, and had this peanut sauce that was dreamy! My friend had a soup, and gave me a taste, it was so good! I may ask for soup next time!

My main was the low-risk green curry, which i asked very mild, and so it came! Absolutely Gorgeous green curry!!!

my friends were more adventurous, and had all the kick of strong Thai spices in theirs!

For dessert, I asked for this Thai Tea icecream, as my other friend had ordered Thai Tea as a drink, and it was a little like a milk shake, and she gave me a taste, so I decided to go for the icecream! Best decision! Thai Tea icecream is the best icecream I tasted! ^_^

This Bistro in Gloucester Road/South Kensington is a gem! Will definitely be coming back for more, and soon! 🙂

I don’t usually start off with negatives but, there’s nothing good to really say about this restaurant. The starters, main meals and drinks were just subpar. The drinks are far too sweet, and I have a sweet tooth it just pure sugar and water. The starters were bland and cold and the main meal was rough and chewy as if microwaved. The first time I came her it was really nice and the food was great. But sadly I’ll never come again because this recent visit just made the experience horrible for us.

I’ve been to the Kensington Branch and this one is just as atmospheric and friendly. Possibly the best red Thai curry with duck that I’ve ever tasted.

Great atmosphere and friendly staff. I will definitely be back

Decided to dine at this little Thai restaurant before we walked to the Hill Garden and it certainly did not disappoint.

The iced Thai lime tea was refreshing but what I enjoyed most is the Meekhun starter platter which included a great selection of tasty starters – fish cakes, chicken satay skewers, spring rolls and some deep fried vegetables which I love. Great place to stop by and enjoy good Thai food!

The only downside is the place doesn’t offer Iced Thai coffee even though it was listed on the menu – something I was looking forward to try.

I ordered Pad Thai and Tom Kha with prawns.
Very disappointing! The Tom Kha came without prawns!
The taste of Pad Thai wasn’t right, the dish had some strange ingredients such a broccoli and green peas, almost no peanuts, no onion! The noodles were dry with a little souse. It was definitely not the Pad Thai…
I was very disappointed, such a waist of money!

Meekhun Thai Bistro Hampstead fell short of expectations. The foi lacked freshness and seemed microwaved. Flavors were dull, lacking the vibrant Thai essence. The service was disinterested and uninformed. The outdated ambiance failed to create a welcoming atmosphere. Overall, the experience was disappointing, with subpar food quality and a lackluster dining experience. Not recommended for those seeking authentic Thai cuisine.
