My hubby loves this store because it reminds him of home. They have a lot of international products that you cannot find anywhere but here. I love the chocolate and candies in the front on the counter, and there are men baking fresh goods whenever I walk in. Another thing I love is clean ingredients. They are wonderful. See you soon.

We loved eating here! My falafel sandwich with baba ganoush and tahini sauces inside was to die for. So satisfying. We came to eat at 11 AM on a Friday and there was only one other customer, so the wait time wasn’t long. The man behind the counter was very friendly and patient as we decided what to order. You can also buy a wide variety of grocery items from the Mediterranean area, as well as fresh baklava, hummus, and bulk olives!

The Baba Ghannooj is the best I’ve had by far. It is deliciously smooth and smoky. We are addicted. The hummus is pretty darn good as well. Both can be purchased at Checkers, and I don’t know how many times I’ve gone in for something else and walked out with a container of each.
We also enjoy the carryout sandwiches, the falafel is delicious. I believe it is the owner who is always there behind the counter, and he is very eager to make sure you enjoy your food.
The grocery aisle also has many nice items, while not huge, it is ample for all our Mediterranean cooking needs.

I visited this shop and experienced very poor customer service. After waiting for the staff member to finish his prayer, he returned, prepared our food hastily, and immediately told us to leave because the shop was closed. His tone was disrespectful and displayed poor human relations.

It’s a grocery store with a counter and a few tables for food. Best gyros for miles. Amazing selection of Greek and Middle Eastern foodstuffs and cookware. The owner is friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

Nice Halal option , also a small grocery store with halal items like chicken n beef patties, but a bit expensive. You might find cheaper options if you drive out of town in overland park. But you can check it out as it has a variety of items to choose ftom.
