AVOID THIS PLACE. I was extremely disappointed with my order. I expected a chicken kabob plate that looked like the one shown on their website, but what I received was nowhere close. It was supposed to come with two skewers of chicken. Instead, I barely got enough to count as one. No saffron rice, No tomatoes. On top of that, the taste was very terrible and not enjoyable at all. Definitely not worth the money. I won’t be ordering from here again.

My son and I had lunch there and I highly recommend Ameer’s Kitchen! Great food that’s so good for you. Made fresh to order and delicious! A sign on the wall says “cooked with love” and I believe that! We even had freshly made hummus that was a winner! The staff there are very nice and helpful. Will definitely go again.

First time going… will DEFINITELY be back. The food was delicious! It took a few minutes to get it but, they made it fresh to order. I ordered a chicken bowl with smoked rice… the young man taking orders and cooking offered samples of their regular rice vs. the smoked rice. He obviously took great pride in his product and even asked how our food was when we were leaving despite a line out the door. Such nice folks and very authentic food. Small seating area but very clean!

Ameer’s is one of Tuscaloosa’s best-kept secrets. If you want to experience incredible hospitality and amazing food, this is the place to go. My friend and I had an incredible salad, chicken and rice, lamb and chicken shawarma, a lamb steak, and more. The chicken skin was so incredibly flavorful and crispy. I have also ordered catering from here before and everyone loved it. The best falafel in town. The store side also has some really great finds and delicious teas, coffees, and spices. Definitely a spot to check out!

The kid running the counter was absolutely one of the polite young men, I’ve encountered in a hot minute. The food was absolutely phenomenal and that is the first time I’ve ever liked hummus
Try the mango drink it was very refreshing

I was completely eye washed by the *high rating* it has on a google review and decided to stop by for some lunch. I have no idea why people wrote so many good points. Is it an accident or because of Covid pandemic, that my experience was so bad ? Maybe I caught them at the wrong time! However, it’s actually a restaurant with a few tables and a grocery store at the same premises. The grocery store has nothing. I found a few Indian spices, but not much Mediterranean, or middle eastern stuff. We ordered two plates of kabob rice. It’s cheap. It comes with a few pieces of grilled meat, some rice ( we opted kabsa rice), pita, hummus, salad, and some white sauce/ dip ( sour cream like). Because of the covid issue we usually avoid dine in nowadays. So places the order, waited until it’s done and packed them to eat inside the car. The food was smelling good, the rice and the pita was good. The salad was fresh. The hummus was very mediocre, and the meats were too bad. I took chicken, still I could eat. However, my bf took beef which we had to throw away!!! That was undercooked, tough, chewy and what not!! Overall the amount of food that they gave ( value of money) was fine but the food quality was bad indeed. I will not recommend spending money here.

I visited this restaurant, which also serves as a Middle Eastern grocery store. The portion size and food quality were not bad—fairly average—but unfortunately, my overall experience was affected by the poor attitude of the manager and staff.
One major issue was that an extra charge labeled as a “service fee” was added to the final bill without any prior notice. This fee was not part of the tip and seemed to be added randomly, which felt neither transparent nor professional.
In the grocery section, many items had no visible price tags. The price you’re told at the counter often turns out to be different (and higher) when you actually pay, which creates a sense of being misled.
Another disappointing point was the restroom. It had neither toilet paper nor hand soap! We ended up going to a nearby gas station to use their restroom after finishing our meal.

Really disappointed with my experience at this place. The prices are super expensive for what you get, and the staff are not very good in English, or responsive. The store itself is not clean, which is very concerning for a place that sells food. Overall, I would not recommend this place.

I’ve been a customer here for the past three years, but I’ve decided to stop shopping due to the constant price hikes — often two to three times higher than other meditation stores. Additionally, the store is not well-maintained, and communication can be difficult as the staff doesn’t speak English clearly.
