Review from a Hungry North Carolinian Who Finally Found Real Mediterranean Food
Listen. I’ve been in NC for a while now, and let me tell you, good Mediterranean food has not been easy to come by.
But this place? It. Was. Glorious.
Like making involuntary oh-ah sounds out loud in public kind of glorious.
Here’s what I had:
Lamb souvlaki — juicy, perfectly grilled, and the sauce? 100% homemade. You can taste the difference.
Spinach soup — didn’t expect to fall in love with soup, but here we are. So comforting and flavorful. Honestly, I’d have it shipped to NC if I could.
And the main event:
I had baklava. Pistachio. Flaky. Sweet. Warmed up with Turkish tea. I’ve never had a dessert hit like that.
I’m still thinking about this meal. If you’re craving real Mediterranean food, just go. You won’t regret it.

We ate there yesterday, the food was excellent and plentiful, the people who made the food and the ones who served it couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful or accommodating. We eat there more than any other restaurant. Go there and see for yourself, and the price is very reasonable. I’m on a special diet and they did everything possible to accommodate me, it’s no wonder that we highly recommend Medterranean Kitchen!

Ordered our food online and it didn’t even go through the system. Waited for it to be prepped and had to go inside to find out we had to wait longer. Was told it would be 5 mins, waited almost 20 with no other customers around. Ordered a Greek salad wrap that was 90% pita bread and filled with barely anything besides lettuce. Other wrap was also barely filled. No food for $40.

I love this place!! I can’t say enough about how great the food is. The owners and cooks are so friendly and inviting. I have gotten take out and eaten in also and have never been disappointed. I highly recommend going to this place you’ll end up loving it too!

This was a great spot and unfortunately will never go back. Besides the fact the owner told me to come get my pickup order in 15 mins and then I proceed to stand there for 15mins, I received the wrong order.
Instead of my $27 salmon platter, I was given an “Adana kebab,” pictured here, which sounds nothing like salmon. I couldn’t drive another 20+ minutes to go back and get the correct order, so I was told over the phone there was no partial refund option and that they’ll give me “a salmon next time I come.” Yeah right. They just lost a valued customer. It sucks because it’s one of the few edible non-fast food places in the area.

I had an incredible experience at The Mediterranean Kitchen! The Smashburger was absolutely amazing—juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. I also tried the Greek salad with Souvlaki, and it was fresh, vibrant, and so satisfying. The hummus and tzatziki were both creamy and packed with authentic Mediterranean flavor—perfect complements to the meal. Everything tasted homemade and full of care. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for delicious food with a Mediterranean flair
