I invited my manager to this restaurant, and unfortunately, it was a bit disappointing compared to how it used to be.
I’m not sure if the ownership has changed (maybe from Arab to Turkish management), but the overall quality felt lower than before.
The food was average at best. Of course, taste is subjective, but I was quite surprised that a Mediterranean restaurant didn’t get the hummus right.
Good hummus should have well-cooked chickpeas, fresh lemon juice, tahini, olive oil, and just the right balance of flavors — creamy and smooth, not grainy.
When served, it should have a touch of lemon, olive oil, and maybe a sprinkle of paprika, chili, or sumac — but definitely not cumin.
What I got tasted more like plain chickpeas with cumin — not real hummus.
Hummus: 3/10
The kebab platter was below average — the rice was dry, and the kebab wasn’t fully cooked or flavorful.
Kebab: 5/10
The falafel was decent, crispy on the outside and soft inside.
Falafel: 7/10
I kindly suggest that the person preparing the falafel use tongs or gloves when serving — it’s important for hygiene, allergies, and overall presentation.
Also, to the cashier — we are not your enemies.
A smile, a friendly attitude, and a bit of patience go a long way, especially when dealing with customers.
If you’re someone who can’t smile, be respectful, or handle people nicely no matter how stressful your job is, then maybe you should find another position — one that doesn’t involve direct interaction with the public.
Thank you.
Dog friendly seating outside and they even bring out a bowl of shedded chicken with a bowl of water for free upon arrival. My boys were so happy that they sang for the staff : )
I highly recommend that you stop by anytime. If you’re in a rush and need quick service or just hanging out on a chill weekend. We ordered the lamb and vegetarian moussaka…. loved it!
I don’t know what happened. New owner, I’m thinking?
All the recipes are different.
We’ve been coming to Mediterranean delight since 2009 and I’m so heartbroken.
To the new owners credit, the texture of the falafel was on point it was just the inside had NO flavor. Same with the hummus. Texture was good, but no flavor.
I had to take a pic of the tabouli because it’s literally just parsley with two small strips of cucumber??? I pushed it around to see if maybe it was hidden but nope, just parsley.
If you’ve never been to the old MD, maybe this would be fine, but if you KNOW, then this is a disappointment.
The skewers were small in portion size and it didn’t come with the pesto sauce. Not the best skewers we have had but manageable.
The Vegetarian Combo Plate had small portion too except the romaine lettuce. The food was fresh but we have had better falafels than these. The hummus and babagonush were tasty but had some sort of funny smell(probably from cooked meats in same kitchen). We wished portion size was bigger but may be it’s because of inflation.
We also had Baklava which was very sweet and all we could taste was sweet syrup. We would not order it again.
This place is good for quick bites.
There’s lots of tables available for indoor and a few for outdoor dining. The staff were really friendly so it was a cozy little spot to have lunch.

Today i met my friends on punch at this place. The food was much better than the last time i visited 4-5 years back. The hummus was smooth, the felafel tasted great. It was fresh and not hard but moist inside. Loved that feeling and taste. Had ordered for a Kabob combo. The size of the kababs in skewer were very small for both the chicken and lamb. The kofta one was fine. All of them tasted great. The salad that it came with was not very well seasoned and tasted somewhat flat. The rice was a yellow one. The lemonade tasted very good though and refreshing .

2018 review
I have been here a number of time for lunch. Finding a parking here when you arrive is a problem. They have indoor as well as outdoor seating arrangements.
Food is OK. Last time I had ordered for Shwarma plate. It tasted OK initially but later came across some strips of chicken which were bitter and burnt.
The staff are OK. I have noticed that the lady working there is at times rude. The old guy over there is grumpy. The young guy at the counter who takes the order(and serves as well) is always less attentive to the customers. Every time I have visited, he will bring us water without asking our preference, although we had asked the actual server to get us water. That is kind of weird, experiencing the same all the 3 – 4 times.
I only go down here for lunch, only if the other 3-4 lunch options (in the area) are eliminated.
