I enjoyed kebab and humus really. Definitely will be back again. It’s pretty clean and they have baklava.

Really great food, lots to choose from. A little overwhelming to look and try to choose what to eat. Lots of seating, a little pricey and parking kinda sucked. Over we will be back often since it is only 15 mins from home.

I had heard praise for Mediterranean Deli from devotees of their Chapel Hill location (including folks with Lebanese roots, so you know it’s legit). When when the Elon location opened, I jumped at the chance to try it! This location occupies the entire street level of a new building (built 2016-2017) in downtown Elon near the beautiful main campus of the eponymous university. The variety of dishes is staggering and includes influences from Greece, Turkey, Israel, Palestine, Lebanon, and beyond! There are plenty of vegetarian options and dishes are labeled for common allergens. Pick up a slip of paper and a golf pencil when you enter, write down what you want as you walk along the case, and hand it to the cashier at the other end. Staff will then bring your food to your table. I managed to ask the guys behind the case a few questions and got a sample of one dish, but they didn’t seem eager to help or interact with the customers. The food runner was much friendlier and happy to answer questions when she wasn’t serving. Don’t miss the complimentary condiments bar for all the tahini, tzatziki, olives, and Lebanese pickles you can eat! The restaurant is nicely decorated with many Middle Eastern influences. There’s also a grocery section with fresh produce, fresh meats, packaged groceries, and Ziyad brand spices. Mediterranean Deli is a great addition to this bustling college town and the surrounding community and meets at least one need for a trip to one of the nearby larger cities!

Food is good! Slightly over priced and the wait to get your food can be excruciating at some times of the day even if not busy. (Chapel hill & Elon are the same in this way except you expect it in the hill as its always busy). I keep finding myself going back for the olive bar & lamb or gyro Fatayar. Also can’t leave without a spanakopita to take home. Just awsome. I am keeping this 5 stars because I enjoy the food. Just need to work on the timing of getting food out especially when not busy.

Rating this Chicken Kabob dish with Greek salad and roasted sweet potatoe as a (3 out of 5). Im a tough critic because the BEST of the best kabobs are in the D.C. area. Based on that, the rice is pretty flavorless. The sweet potatoe is not amazing but, pretty good? The pita bread could be better. There should be a sauce to go with the chicken and rice that also just isn’t there. The only thing that impressed me was the tender, juicy and decently seasoned chicken. Overall, I probably wouldn’t go back. The depth of flavors just aren’t there
