Stopped in late for a quick bite and was welcomed with genuinely warm service, the kind that feels natural and not rehearsed.

Ordered the hummus with pita. Smooth, well seasoned, good olive oil, warm bread. Simple food done right, and that is always enough.

Everyone in my group ordered the chicken kabob combo (includes hummus and baba ganoush). The food was delicious, and the staff + owner were extremely kind and welcoming. We stopped in for dinner after walking around the night market, and was the perfect spot to rest and enjoy some good food.

Went for the first time and drove 40 minutes, was underwhelmed with the food and portion size. We went to eat at another restaurant right after we finished our meals. Had the shawarma sandwich and falafel platter and tried to make the best of it but sadly we were both starving after we finished our meals. The salad was thrown together and the shawarma meat was burnt to a crisp. The falafel was good but only 5 very small balls and two spoonfuls of hummus. Lovely atmosphere and perhaps nice to have a quick cup of coffee but not dinner.

Very good kebab’s. Generous portions and very good Kebabs and Ayran Yogurt.
Flower shop next door provides the fresh flowers.

Stopped by the flower shop next door and bought a perfect flower bouquet to end a perfect lunch date.

The plate size was small, but the lamb plate was delicious. I savored every morsel while enjoying the hookah. Would definitely return again.

We arrived around 5pm on a Sunday afternoon and the place was completely dead. Not to be deterred, we grabbed a bottle of wine from the liquor store around the corner (the restaurant doesn’t serve alcohol, but it is BYO) and headed inside.

Food (relatively extensive menu, both Mediterranean/Middle Eastern as well as Italian) is ordered at the main counter at the entrance, and then you have the choice of either sitting out the front, or in the back room … a dark room full of mis-matched tables and chairs, a thousand dusty cushions, a TV playing old movies, foreign tunes, tinsel wrapped pipes, crooked paintings on the walls, and the stale smell of flavored hookah. Felt like I was back in the middle east… loved it!!!!

The food was served quickly — large plates, super fresh, and the chicken shawarma had the most amazing spices! Fantastic prices too — three of us ate comfortably for $40. The only real negative is that our table was never cleared whilst we were there, so we sat with dirty dishes on our table for a good hour or so.

The smell of hookah can be a little overwhelming (a few other people had joined us in the back room by the time we left, and all were smoking), and if you don’t like tobacco with your food (apple or strawberry or otherwise), this might not be the place for you. But the food is super delicious, the service is friendly, and the atmosphere is incredibly unique.

Lovely experience. My husband and I stumbled upon this restaurant while walking around Yale and just needed something to hold us over before dinner in a few hours. We got the shawarma platter to split– WOW!!! They had just made fresh falafel and insisted we try some, so generous, and the falafel was incredible. We probably won’t be in New Haven for a very long time (we’re from cleveland) but if I’m ever passing through I WILL stop here again!

They took the payment before I even sat down. They used a bad brand of tobacco even though I told them the brand. I will never come back and I do not recommend it to anyone.
