Very disappointing experience. We ordered calamari, chicken Cesar salad and cheeseburger. The chicken was very stale and rubbery. It appears to have been rewarmed several times before serving. Order burger medium – came overcooked. The calamari was also very rubbery. I cannot understand how this restaurant has any more 2 stars honestly.

By far one of the worst restaurant experiences I have had. As a business owner myself, I am not quick to give a negative review yet this place lost every opportunity to make things right. We called ahead after an event an NJPAC for an early dinner. We were quickly sat which was a good start. We ordered calamari as an appetizer. I can tell from the first bite that it wasn’t quality food or preparation. The crispy coating came off flaking and I had a hard time grabbing the rubbery calamari underneath with a fork. I ordered a ceasar chicken salad as it felt like a fairly safe option-I was wrong. Before the plate even hit my table I can see how hard the chicken pieces were. Clearly NOT freshly made and looks like it has been warmed up several times. We couldn’t get a waiter to even look our way for a long time much less ask us how the food was. We had to flag someone down and tell them. She told who I believe was the supervisor. No acknowledgement again for a good amount of time. One of our party ordered medium burger and it came overcooked and saturated in whatever sauce was in it. We felt hostage to the place as we wanted nothing more than to leave yet couldn’t get acknowledgement, resolution, a bill or ownership of this experience. The waitress ultimately came with our check. And guess what? It had “suggested gratuity” INCLUDED on our bill and credit card charge which we had to cancel out. It is unfortunate as this is a venue that is well positioned being close to NJPAC yet that days experience has puzzled all of us about the ratings and reviews thus far which is what we based our decision to go there on. I understand that an establishment has an off day or maybe a different chef. Total and complete disregard for the quality of food that comes out or the experience tells me a lot about management. It is often when things don’t go well that businesses have an opportunity to win over customers and create loyalty. There was ZERO ownership, effort or acknowledgment here hence my 1 star review.

The paella was as super tasty as it was generous – I felt like I had kept eating it as it went on forever (which is important to me).. unfortunately no frond, but still an awesome dish.. my partner got a shrimp salad which was also quite generous . And I topped it all with a flan.. so decadent and good ! ! I plan on coming back here, especially if staying at RT again !

The restaurant is beautifully decorated and has a nice atmosphere, which is why we chose it for dinner before a concert at the Prudential Center. We had a group of six and came in on Friday night around 5 PM with a reservation. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing.

They advertise lamb right at the entrance, but when we asked for it, the server told us they didn’t have any. On top of that, a few other menu items we tried to order were also unavailable, which was frustrating.

The menu looks extensive, but most of what we tried fell flat. The Caesar salad was probably the worst I’ve ever had.. the chicken was dry and flavorless. We ordered our steaks medium, but they came out almost well-done. Pasta and risotto were the only decent dishes, thankfully.

For a place calling itself a steakhouse, the quality didn’t come close to expectations. Even the restroom felt like an afterthought as their toilet paper was not stocked inside the dispenser, just hanging outside, which was sloppy.

Overall, despite the nice décor and convenient location, the food and service really missed the mark. Sadly, I wouldn’t come back.

Food was good. Well seasoned and fresh. Our server was kind and accommodating. There was a slight language barrier for us (no one in my party spoke Portuguese), but it all worked out. The music was the only thing off about the ambiance. The decor was steakhouse, but the music was diner/cafeteria. All in all, a great time.

Absolutely awful. Ordered the chicken cordon bleu, and it came out half raw. RAW CHICKEN. One side of it looked like they hadn’t even tried to cook it (and the cheese was still solid), and it was drowning in sauce. Told a waiter that it was raw, and he gave us a weird look, looked confused, and said they’d make a “new one in 5-6 minutes”. First of all, a brand new one of that thickness would take far longer than 5 minutes to cook, and second of all, they just reheated amd replated the same food (with the slice I cut off placed back on top). Even cooked properly, it wasn’t good. The frozen chicken cordon bleu from Barber Foods is better. Whatever, we just wanted to hurry up and leave.

They also served what looked like house-made potato chips as an appetizer, which might’ve been a unique feature if the chips hadn’t been soggy.

But things got worse when we got the bill. After being charged, we noticed that an extra $4 had been added, as well as a “suggested tip” of 20%, with another line for “additional tip”. The total charged amount included the “suggested tip”, making it a mandatory tip instead of a recommendation. This is for two people by the way, not a party of six. Called the manager over, he explained that the $4 was their credit card fee – this wasn’t stated anywhere beforehand. Then, he tried to claim the suggested tip amount hadn’t *really* been charged to the card yet: a flat out lie, considering we could see in the bank app that it HAD been charged. Next, he tried to claim that they charged the suggested tip but would refund the total afterward to be whatever we wrote on tip line… we pointed out that the receipt line said ADDITIONAL tip, not total tip. He stared blankly at the additional tip line and said “I’ve never seen that before”. Brother, you’re a manager and have no idea what your receipts look like?? Huh?? No, if we wrote something on the additional tip line, I am 100% certain that it would’ve been added on top of what we’d already paid. Then, he got frustrated with us and said “You know what, I’ll just refund this and do it myself, I pay my employees”. Uh, if you *actually* paid your employees, you would give them a liveable wage instead of relying on tips to do it for you. To be clear, we weren’t arguing that the staff didn’t deserve tips, but arguing that it’s scammy and dishonest to charge a “suggested” tip and then ask for more on top of that, when the customer is going to assume that the bill didn’t automatically include a tip (y’know, like how every other restaurant operates).

Dishonest business practices abound. Wonder how many people they’ve scammed into double-tipping using this method.

Very sad excuse for a steakhouse. I had the T-Bone which as you can see was more of a bone in strip steak with almost no fillet. No stand out flavor at all, very thin. Absolutely not worth it. Massive disappointment. I’ve literally had a better steak at Denny’s and that’s really sad.

What a fantastic night at Medallion Steak House & Seafood. The food was beyond incredible — honestly, out of this world. But the standout for us was our waiter, Carlos. He was thoughtful, kind, and so considerate, and he truly went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. Carlos is the reason this felt like more than just dinner. Highly recommend.

Great food, great place and exceptional service. The steak was tender and cooked perfectly. The flan was amazing. I spilled a part of my drink on the table, and the waiter cleaned it up and brought me a whole new drink.

I wasn’t aware the restaurant was in a hotel and it was a little hard to locate. But, my wife and I are glad we found it. The atmosphere was quaint and quiet. Our server, Joseph did his job well. We didn’t have to wait all evening for our food. It was brought to us promptly and the presentation was excellent. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. And again, kudos to Joseph for his service. I had the t-bone, mashed potatoes, asparagus and rice w/bean sauce. My wife ordered steak w/onions and french fries. We both had salads. All foods were cooked to perfection. Very tasty. If there’s a negative to our visit, it’s the portions are large. I’m a big eater and I had to carry home leftovers. To much food. I highly recommend a visit.
