This has been our favorite sandwich place up until the past couple of months. We have been very regular customers but in that time period the sandwiches have become less than Meconi’s standard. They have been sloppy, soggy, meat and condiments unevenly distributed and, sometimes, two or three bites in before you even get to the meat! Very disappointing!! We would like to continue to support locally owned businesses, but the Tumwater store needs some attention. I understand these are most likely young employees, but I think that has always been the case. Usually, the problem is management, just a suggestion! Thanks for listening.

I purchased a half turkey sandwich around 5:30. Got home at 5:45 and ate it. 45 minutes later I was not feeling well, had the runs, and vomited. I call the store the manager answered and said, I’ll make you another sandwich, but you have to bring the other one back. When I told him that I consumed it already and it made me sick he told me “I don’t know what to tell you”. I won’t be back. I think the manager’s name is mike. Mike, you’re very unprofessional and and your lack of care was quite obvious. I go to this place all the time and I have never been treated this way. He claimed he had a turkey sandwich earlier and it didn’t make him sick and made it out to seem like I was making the whole thing up just to get a free sandwich. What nerve!!!

There are not enough great things to say about Meconi’s. This is a family owned business and they run it as such. They care about their customers the way they care about their food. I use them every time I have an event and they do an amazing job of coming through with sandwich platters and whatever else I need. I love that they make their own bread. Highly recommend!

Heard about this place by word of mouth. Hard to miss this place, the windows were sparkling clean and signage was bright and colorful. Walked in to a spotlessly clean business and instantly greeted by a very nice lady who took my order. Ordered a whole Philly cheesesteak. Was cooked fresh and was hot!!! Whole sandwich was packaged as two nice sized sandwiches…. Full after the first one! The bread melts in your mouth and it was very tasty. Will definitely come back and try something else from their huge assortment! If I could give you 10 stars I would-

This chain is a local treasure, been coming here for years. I would not recommend the Philly cheesesteak, honestly I’ve had better. But their subs are delicious! Their bread is always fresh baked, perfectly spongy and soft with a good flavor and their meats and cheeses are really good too! My go-to favorite is the roast beef with cheddar and provolone. By the way, their chili and cookies are also fresh and delicious. And their prices are better than other sandwich chains.

Gross “food”, gross workers – Such a disappointing first (and now only) experience with this shop. They take your money online but then deny mask health exemptions AND refuse to bring your food to the door!! They are STEALING from people. Son put mask on to get sandwiches, ended up having a panic attack and an asthma attack. Then to top it off, there was hair in my son’s sandwich and a handful of pepperocini stems in my sandwich, one super dried out (see picture of a couple I picked out). They knew we were angry so they sabotaged our sandwiches. Then they refused to give my son a printed receipt. They are not wearing hair nets or gloves and their sandwiches are not temperature controlled after being made. Time for a call to the health department. We won’t ever be back.

Really disappointing one sandwich was super dry the other was soggy both were hot sandwiches and they were lukewarm at best. Barely any veggies on either of the sandwiches and we instantly got stomach aches before we could even finish them. Also the chili is literally just marinara with some onions and cheese and you have to pay extra for the onions and cheese too. If I could give a 0 star I would. The other customers were also extremely rude and kept interrupting us while ordering.
