If you’re into dive bar vibes, Mecca Tavern definitely fits the bill. I was a little concerned at first—especially after noticing the spray foam used around the base of the walls (you can see it in the photo). Service was okay, but don’t expect any frills. I tried to order a Moscow mule or a Coke & amaretto and got some serious side-eye from the waitress, so I ended up just getting a Diet Coke.
Now for the good part: the breaded tenderloin. It’s the main reason we came, and it absolutely delivered—meaty, juicy, and huge! We split it into four sandwiches, and everyone was happy. Fries were just average, but that tenderloin makes it worth the stop.

Recently moved to the area. Needing a pork tenderloin sandwich.
Everyone pointed me to the Mecca Tavern.
I was NOT disappointed.
The tenderloin was 5 times the size of the bun and tender as a baby’s bottom.
With a large draft I was out the door for under $20.00.
Will return soon and frequently. Thank you !

If you’re looking for a hole in the wall place with phenomenal food, this is it! The Mecca Tavern tenderloin and giant pretzel with beer cheese are a MUST TRY! This place is 40 minutes from my house and worth the drive any day!

Not rating service it was terrible, we drove 3 hours for a tenderloin. Sat at a table, never brought a menu, waitress walking around not focusing on customers. Finally got her attention enough to get a menu. Finally ordered. Never did get all of our food. Finally got our drinks after waiting for food. Had a patio area, big sign said No dogs allowed on Patio Area we had to leave our small dog in the car. Had to go out and walk her and give her water, while one of stayed at the table waiting for our food. Finally got our food. Ask for a to go box, never got that. I walk in and got 2 to go boxes off of a table. Ask for rest of our food we didn’t get to be taken off our bill. We will never be back. Large tenderloin but after such for service and waiting for so long and not getting part of our food wasn’t worth the drive. I don’t recommend.

I would give all 5 stars, but not a fan of the smoking. We were there for about an hour before someone came in and started chain smoking. The place filled with smoke quickly. That was THE only bad thing about the visit.
