Passing by this local owned places me and my husband decided to stop and have a meal.
We came to find the best in this town to eat a poblano burger and a chicken melt specially the smoked chicken we also ate a sausage. Assuming the owner came to talk to us and was super friendly. Staff was amazing also. Very happy and please we would stop by again to enjoy a meal.
Excused the half eating burgers I ate fast but decided to take a photo after that fact !

Just heard about this place and had to try it. They have all sorts of meats and sweets. We decided to try the smash burgers, and they were awesome. They had that nice crispy char on the patty. The fries were perfectly cooked ac had a nice seasoning on them. Have to go back and try the rest of the menu. Service was awesome and friendly. The only complaint is that it was a little warm inside. Other than that, it was a great find. I highly recommend it.

I drove to Lyford from Harlingen just to visit Meats and Sweets and it was worth every mile! Best breakfast taco I’ve had in years and my iced coffee was fabulous. Thank you so much for your hospitality and overall great experience! 🙂

This BBQ place is a hidden gem; we almost missed it but thankfully our car windows were down and you could smell the BBQ smoking. Came here with my family while passing through on a road trip and we were all happy that we decided to stop. Even my selective eating teen loved the his meal. The smash burgers were amazing and big too. Daughter had the Holy Guacamole burger, also delighted, and I had the chopped brisket sandwich which was the best I’ve ever had. Service was great from start to finish. Atmosphere was friendly and welcoming; looks like they support veterans. Also had games (dominos and tic-tac-toe) for the tables and a small little kids area too. Meets and Sweets might need to be a necessary stop for us on the way to/from South Padre for now on, it is a must try.

Wow!! Had some delicious and savory brisket at this great place while we were passing through. Wonderful hospitality as we enjoyed our mouth watering brisket and bbq chicken with sides of rice beans, My wife had the turkey with Mac and cheese. They have home made burgers as well and a variety of home made desserts on their menu. We will most definitely return.
