All you can eat but then after an hour and a half they told tried to politely kick us out. The meat to be honest is kind of just ok, I guess that’s not too surprising since it’s all you can eat. The best part was actually the steamed egg, it was really well done and honestly better than the meat. Overall had a good experience

10/10! Lots of options, each of which is super delicious, nice servers, great vibe, amazing restaurant! Servers were super nice, and helped us with orders and small problems swiftly. Food itself is great quality with tons of options. They had a lot of different marinated cuts which were very flavorful, and options like intestine and squid were exciting to try. Must tries include: Big intestine, Short Rib, Pork belly, and Spicy octopus. Their sides were also incredibly tasty, like the potato salad, steamed egg, japchae noodles, and the corn cheese. Probably the best K-BBQ restaurant I’ve eaten at! All at just 35 dollars!

Very disappointed. I’ll give credit where it’s due: the service was friendly sort of ( we had to keep reminding the server the sides we ordered, most of the time they never came) and the atmosphere was clean. But the food quality is bottom-tier for Northern Virginia. The meat was poor quality (the brisket was pure grease, I added a picture for everyone to see just how fatty the brisket is) and the portions are shockingly small for the price. It felt like they were rationing the sides. People go to KBBQ for a feast, not for tiny portions and fatty meat. Total waste of money considering how many great options we have nearby.

I absolutely do not recommend this place. The meat was terrible — it had a strange smell, strange taste, and even the color was off. It didn’t even look like real meat. After cooking, it completely fell apart and turned into a mushy mess. It was clearly not fresh.
We informed the staff about this, but they showed no reaction at all and simply brought us the full bill. We didn’t eat the food — we only tried it and immediately realized it was bad and not fresh, yet we were still charged in full.
On top of that, the atmosphere was awful. The restaurant is extremely dark, to the point where you can barely see anything, which only made the whole experience worse.
I do not recommend this place under any circumstances.

The service was exceptionally good and incredibly polite. I’ve been coming here a lot, and the food is always good, but Andrew truly made it better. He took care of us this time and honestly, I’ve never experienced service like this before. He was fast, efficient, and extremely attentive, making sure everything was perfect without us even having to ask. The whole experience felt smooth and effortless because of him. Andrew truly went above and beyond, and his professionalism and kindness made a huge difference. This is the kind of service that makes you want to come back again and again. Thank you Andrew!

did get dinner there n some drinks. Staff was super friendly n place clean. I did ask for extra sides kimchi, because I eat that fast n he brought a few more, good job. Meats didn’t seem marinated very well, but other than that ,it was a good experience.

There is definitely something wrong with this place, both the food and the service were bad. After my experience, I completely understand and agree with the negative reviews.
The food quality was very poor and seemed like cheap products. The service was also terrible. The server acted like we owed him something and had a very bad attitude. Food came out extremely slowly, and for an all-you-can-eat restaurant, we didn’t even receive enough food.
Even if the food had come faster, the quality was so bad that it would be hard to enjoy anyway.
I definitely won’t be going back, even if it were free. I would not recommend this place. Stay away.

Meat Project is a low key, solid all you can eat only place in the Fairfax Korean BBQ scene. What sets it apart is the inclusion of kalbi (marinated short ribs)—a premium cut that most AYCE spots leave off the menu. It’s a rare treat that alone makes the visit worth a try.
The meat quality is solid and matches the price point. This isn’t a luxury K-BBQ experience like Ingle, nor does it limit your options the way some higher-cost places like Kogiya might. Instead, you get a generous variety, including hard-to-find items like pork jowl, which I was excited to try after seeing it featured on Bizarre Foods. It was rich, tender, and full of flavor—definitely a standout. If you like varieties of chang, they have that too.
On top of that, the owner is incredibly welcoming and clearly passionate about the food and the experience. It’s the kind of place that balances value, variety, and hospitality in a way that keeps you coming back.
If you’re looking for an approachable, satisfying K-BBQ experience without the premium price tag, Meat Project fits that bill.

Worst All You Can Eat place I’ve ever been. This place doesn’t give you or let you put in more order until you finish your meat on the fire pan. Once you finish and put in more order, it takes 5 min for meat to come out and take another 10 min to cook the meat. Each portion is very tiny too. i felt like i wasted my money. They will go out of their way to control how much you eat. At the restaurant, I complained that the process is way too slow and i cannot enjoy AYCE but the manager said they get penalized for not controlling customers how much they eat and when there is leftover food. Poor employees. This is All They Can Control, not AYCE. I can tell the management is really stingy. Please improve AYCE experience. The meat quality was pretty good tho.
I will never come back here for sure.

Never disappointed coming here for KBBQ dinner or a quick lunch. The food is always fresh and delicious! My favorites are the soybean paste soup, steamed eggs, meat, squid, and shrimp. The side dishes are also really good. Another big reason we keep coming back is the service, the staff are super nice and always work hard.
