This place is truly a hidden gem in Wimberley, TX! It’s a super relaxed and enjoyable outdoor spot with a small stage, two TVs to watch games, and a great atmosphere.

The food was amazing, and the service was top-notch. Our waiter was attentive and friendly, which made the experience even better. We tried two frozen drinks, the Old Fashioned and the Frosé, and my husband couldn’t stop ordering the Old Fashioned because it was that good.

For food, we ordered the nachos, house chili, and the chicken on a stick. Everything was delicious and served in generous portions. We didn’t get a chance to try the burgers this time, but we’ll definitely be back soon to do so.

We loved this place they had a live band with some great music! We absolutely recommend Meat and Drink!

My wife brought me here for my birthday for the infamous frozen old fashioned. It was definitely infamous and should be sold out everyday! The food was amazing!!! We had the house fried chips, queso and salsa, chicken salad wrap and smoked chicken meal. 10/10 recommend.
Customer service was superb!

Ordered a whole chicken meal with banana pudding & a piece of pecan pie. Ordered the sausage wrap & some extra rice, green salsa & smoked red salsa. $104.45 including tip.
I was excited. Reviews were good & the pictures looked great. The atmosphere was nice, a very nice musical duo was performing out front. The lady at the counter was nice & handed us our to go order. My wife & I sat down to try the chicken before going home, we hadn’t eaten all day.
The chicken when uwrapped looked great but it was flavorless with a familiar lingering taste of old that permeated the whole chicken. We decided to pack up & leave to finish our meal at home back in Austin. When we finally had a chance to try everything it was quite terrible. The old taste ruined the chicken. The rice tasted like wet towel & it was undercooked. The beans were flavorless. The green salsa was bubbling & tasted spoiled. The banana pudding was rotten, of course to top off this atrocious meal. I was hoping the sausage would be ok, nope, it was lame as well. The only thing that was not terrible or rotten was the pecan pie. But I didn’t come here for pecan pie. I wanted a DECENT meal.
I criticize Pollo Rico quite a bit amongst my peers but my goodness I never will again. This was unacceptable. One of the worst meals I have had in a long time. My wife & I couldnt finish any of it except the pie. We literally heated up left over soup to drown our sorrows. Pollo Rico on a bad day is 5 stars compared to this meal. & also a fraction of the price!
Wish I would have went anywhere else but here to eat. It was expensive & beyond disappointing.

Casual set up. Outdoor seating only.
Many homemade sauce with various spiciness.
Chicken was too pink or undercooked for my liking. Meat was still stuck to bone.
Server was kind enough to replace but it came out without skin which seems weird. Please refer to pictures.
Reviews were good and maybe not just my day.

Stopped by Meat & Drink in Wimberley and everything hit the spot. It’s a place with out door patio, music, picnic tables and games outside. The hibiscus margarita was super refreshing, not too sweet or bitter. Tried the chicken on a stick with their house mustard sauce — , and that sauce was actually fire (amazing.) Also had the house chili, which was hearty and had a nice little kick. Cool spot, chill vibe. I’d definitely go back.

I love this place! I just moved to Wimberley 5 weeks ago and this has become my favorite hang out midweek to just relax…unwind and listen to some local tunes. The service is great and sitting under the big shaded oak tree wrapped in lights feels like I’m sitting under the great big Texas Sky!
Thursday nights are definitely my fave with the cute couple that plays here every Thursday! ❤️

I ordered Chicken Salad Wrap and asked if it was spicy. The waiter said no, not at all.
It appeared to be very spicy so I had to throw it away!
