This is NOT pizza. It is a twice baked focaccia. Looking under the cheese, you can see that the top of the “crust” is brown from being baked. The process appears to be to add toppings to a baked focaccia and then fire it again. There’s a lot of good pizza in Asheville. Don’t waste your time on this one.

Elevated and complex flavors while still filling that comfort food feeling we all love when eating pizza. The thick crust is so light and airy that it’s like all of those toppings are being delivered on a delicious bread cloud. The offerings change regularly and you will want to come back over and over to see what creative combinations they have that week. The “Beans & Greens” pie was incredible. Definitely recommend!

Asheville has many things, but unti now was lacking in amazing pizza. This pizza is airy, crunchy, complex, and absolutely delicious. Also, it’s super convenient to grab it and take it home or fun to eat it at Pleb and have a glass of wine. A wonderful addition to the river arts district.

I made a special trip to try this place and it was good. I won’t go out of my way to have it again, as it’s not my favorite style pizza, but if I was nearby or at Pleb I would. The small menu was mostly sold out so we went with a square cheese pizza with some vegetable toppings. Keep in mind, this place does not have meat offerings. It reminded me of a focaccia breadstick with pizza toppings on it. It’s bread thick and a little too dry for my liking so perhaps a sauce dip would be a good additional option. For the Portnoy fans, this would be considered a gourmet style pizza not Detroit style and I would give it a 7.2 score.
