A bit of a disappointment because we were looking for the best Japanese steakhouse in Warner Robins and this was one of two based on Google Maps highest rankings. First the restaurant itself looked tired. We opted for the lunch at the hibachi grill. I must say you get a lot of food for a great price. The broth soup had some crunchy bits added. The salad and dressing was a little watery. The fried rice was slightly moist but the flavor was good. They do use high quality proteins that came out really good. The main problem I had were the vegetables. They were too moist entirely and had a burned flavor due to the items that had been cooked earlier in our meal. The server was phenomenal. No dessert was served at lunch either.

This place did not disappoint. The robot that brought my sushi out was so awesome. The food was absolutely amazing. They even take the tail off every single shrimp. I don’t see that anywhere. Willy was our server and he was super knowledgeable about the menu and helped me pick what sushi to get and it was spot on. I would give 6 stars if I could. The sweetheart roll was great. And the seafood miso soup was really impressive.

Had the rock shrimp appetizer and the yoka soba noodle MeAkan special. The rock shrimp were great, they were big and very juicy. The noodles were awesome, really big portion. It came with shrimp, chicken and steak. Once again, the shrimp were a good size and juicy. The steak was also tender and flavorful. The chicken was also tender. Sometimes hibachi-style meats (chicken and steak) can come out a bit dry, so I was really happy that it wasn’t the case here. Also, the shrimp tails had been removed. This is just a nice touch, I personally don’t like having to fish through my food to take off shrimp tails. Our server, Willy was wonderful. Very knowledgeable about the menu and attentive. Will definitely be back!

Best hibachi around. Plus these folks are amazing. I unintentionally ordered close to their mid day closing time and they still fulfilled the order! I didn’t even notice the closing time until they called me 15 minutes later to ask if I was coming.
Small things mean a lot to me, so this was nicer than I’d ever expected. I’ll check the hours more closely when I order online at local restaurants! If you read this, thank you for both the amazing sick day food (I’ve been sick all week!), and for kindly staying the extra 15-20 minutes over my order!

Server was friendly. No issues there. Sushi was gross. Got the salmon roll spicy tuna and spicy yellow tail. All of which were warm. The tuna and yellow tail were just mush, no flavor, no difference. I feel as though I got the same thing throughout. Was not what was expected. Was not good. Somewhat concerned how the raw fish will digest. Praying I don’t get sick. Ate 4 piece out of my 3 rolls. Still paid full price. 99.9% sure I will NOT be back. Also hot sake was just as warm as the salmon roll.

When you first arrive, the outside of Mekan Japanese Steakhouse looks a little dated, and if you’re not familiar with what’s inside, it could give you a negative first impression. Don’t let that fool you. Once you walk in, you’ll find a massive restaurant with plenty of seating, numerous hibachi tables, a nice bar area, and a welcoming host desk.

Food was very good. Steak and shrimp cooked perfectly. Service was very attentive, which my family really noticed. We were only passing through and stopped for the night, so decided to try this place. Definitely worth it!

What a wonderful sushi restaurant. I enjoy sushi when I travel on business and this was a recommended place by the hotel front desk.
I sat at the sushi bar. I ordered the rainbow and TNT rolls. Gabby was very attentive and nice as my server. The Itamae was quick and made great looking rolls! The fish was nicely cut (no big chunks of meat). The TNT roll had a great spicy mayo on it. Not too much mayo in the sauce. Ponzu sauce was good to have on the rainbow roll. The Itamae layered the rainbow rolls avocado perfectly to ensure each cut piece has a little it in (this is rare when I order the rainbow roll. I get one 90% of the time I go to get sushi!) The rice was nicely cooked, not too sticky. The appetizer was a nice bonus as well! I might be back tomorrow to try another roll! I would definitely recommend this place for sushi! (Updated menus with more choices attached)
