The Meadowlark is without question my new favorite spot in Lawrence! I live for a unique dining experience, and this place has nailed every detail with skill, intentionality and warmth. The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful yet cozy and inviting at the same time. Everything I ordered had main ingredients that were familiar to me but was created in a way I had never experienced before, which made trying something that felt a little new very enjoyable and accessible. All of the staff was amazing and took time to answer my questions about the menu despite it being a busy Friday night. Literally cannot say enough good things about The Meadowlark and can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful and unique wine bar – cozy aesthetic, clean space. Elegant but completely unpretentious. Selection of wine is incredible and dynamic. Had the smoked salmon and goat cheese toast which was perfect – and fried potato with Alma cheese! Great for date night, small groups, or just solo at the bar! The servers know their stuff and are helpful in suggesting wonderful pairings. Atmosphere,service 5. Appetizer and dessert were great…flavor and presentation. Entree was delicious but had to send back as was only warm not hot. When server returned it was so hot you could see the steam coming out which way over cooked the pasta. No apology just returned. Feel like they are better than this

We went for the first time tonight and loved the place. Prices are reasonable. Atmosphere is fantastic. The place is just the right size. Feels intimate but too small either.
We got a few share plates- cheese board and focaccia with whipped butter which were all great.
Staff were all knowledgeable and attentive.
Booze options are carried and solid. Beer selection was limited but very well curated. For a place that isn’t a beer joint- casts a good net.

This place is a dream. Whether you’re looking for a perfect spot for a ladies night, business dinner, first date, meet the in-laws, birthday celebration… you name it, it is classy, delicious and so intentional in every detail. I love that you can eat fresh, locally sourced food, prepared with excellence, and pair it with a unique, high-quality wine. Connoisseurs get excited at this place, but if you don’t know where to begin with wines, the staff can provide guidance. They are warm but not at all pushy. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food and experience. The menu is also always changing based on what is fresh and in season, which keeps it interesting for regulars. I can’t wait to go back.

I went there to celebrate a friend’s birthday and it was a great experience. Cozy and welcoming vibes! We all ordered a handful of dishes to share and all the dishes were so flavorful. They also had a great selection of drinks and made my friend’s birthday special ♥️ I’m definitely planning on coming back for a date night with my partner. Highly recommend!
