*2nd visit update* Visited the new restaurant location, unfortunately had the demote a couple of stars as they had run out of half the menu. My wife’s portions was a bit small too, especially the chocolate mousse which was a single tablespoon. Disappointing
I don’t know what it is about ‘most restaurants’, but they never offer blokes what they want to drink, a sort of drinks snobbery I suppose, but just remember (‘most restaurants’ ) if the bloke doesn’t want to go there, the chances of the wife going there are considerably reduced…….
First of all, don’t be put off by the ‘first appearing’ ‘takeaway photos’ on Google Maps, these guys previously had a stall at the Butter Market in Hereford, but now have a restaurant in Bridge Street Hereford ….
So picture this…..
turned up at our friends house in Herefordshire staying for a few nights, the kitchen is out of action, to make matters worse it was a Tuesday night, and many Pubs these days are closed on a Monday & Tuesday, my heart began to sink, what could possibly go wrong
“A new Italian restaurant has opened in Hereford”…… my heart sank even more …..
The evening had all the hallmarks of “why on earth did we bother to go out”
We went ……..
We arrived …….
We sat down….
First Impressions , great staff, great venue, and it was virtually packed at 6.30 on a Tuesday evening…. What the ………
Sat down, ordered (a pint of beer )
Next, some bread and herb butter, I could have eaten this one as a starter.
All the dishes were simple, honest, fresh and tasty, ‘pasta pasta pasta’ , no chicken and chips , no gloopy sauces, no fast food here, fresh dishes made from first class ingredients.
I could go on, but I’m not going to, just go, and for a laugh, go on a Tuesday evening
To sum up, I was Gob smacked, meal of the year, in fact, meal of the last two years plus ..
If you value food, the people who make an effort, the environment you are in , the people you meet….

One suggestion, lose the drizzle and the swirls from the Gnocchi Starter, it devalues the dish ….. (photo attached)
Finally , parking can be an issue, unless you are lucky, bite the bullet and pay the Mafia charges at the NCP Car Park (15161) download the App, or you could be there all night trying to work out how to pay…
And NO, you can’t pay AFTER your stay as it says on the signage , just pay on arrival with the App…..

Excellent value for money and great, friendly service. Will absolutely be visiting again and will be highly recommending! Borough market quality food in Hereford!
We had spinach and ricotta ravioli with a tomato sauce; pesto pasta; and a guanciale and pecorino sauce. Tiramisu to finish was good but maybe a bit too generous on the cocoa powder.
Service was on the slower side (20-30mins) but understandable for a busy Saturday lunch time, and we didn’t mind as we could sit at the bar and watch the cooking.
