Every time we have been here for dinner, the food and drinks were great. Sometimes we like to stop and if we are not real hungry share a dinner item. The menu is simple, but has a wide selection. The service is always been great, friendly and helpful. It is just a nice place with great food and service.

I went here recently, and the experience was mixed. The server was very nice and attentive, and everything seemed fine at first. Unfortunately, the food was a big letdown this time (this is my second time), The fried cod tasted off, almost like sewage water with just a hint of fish, which made it hard to eat. The fries, on the other hand, were great, crispy, hot, and honestly a 10/10… but fries are kind of hard to mess up.
What makes this disappointing is that the first time we came here, the fried cod was really good and well seasoned, so I know they can do better. I’m hoping this was just an off day and that they improve going forward, because the service was good and I’d like to enjoy the food here again

Stopped in New Year’s Eve Day for a quick bite & were pleasantly surprised. Quick service at the bar & both the food and drinks were very flavorful!

Easy to get to, large restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. This is a place between a dive bar and a semi-gourmet place; food is good but don’t expect it to be white table clot kind of place. We enjoyed it for what it is and even took home leftovers. It’s a laid back neighborhoodie place. Large bar seating, we opted for comfy booth seating.
Service is great; they are prompt, accurate and hard working. No nonsense and make the experience easy.
Margaritas were great; especially the lemon basil. Highly recommend that one. If you like it on sweeter side then go for the fruity ones. Prices are very decent considering current economy and other similar establishments. Included photo of the bill for one person.

If I could award more than five stars, I would. This establishment is undoubtedly worth visiting. We arrived fifteen minutes before closing, and the waiter promptly approached our table to take our order. The food was exceptionally fresh and delicious. We are currently out of town during spring break and plan to return tomorrow before departing. My children remarked that this was the best food they have consumed during our stay in town.

Just found this terrific Tex-Mex restaurant. Large portions and reasonable prices. Also a huge menu. I saw at least six things I was to go back and try. Our server, Heidi, was great. Sorry about the poor pictures. We forgot to take them until we had eaten all we could. Rest came home for lunch tomorrow.

Delightful place for Tex Mex! We visited the Hastings location and met some friends there who had dined at a different location in the past. I told the waitress to surprise me with a drink and they gave me a margarita mojito which was . We ordered chips and salsa for an appetizer and my husband got the burrito and I had a chicken Caesar salad. I was surprised at how great the food was and the carrot cake for dessert was absolutely amazing. Love this place and we will have to go again since we frequent Hastings for business.

This is a solid option for comfort Tex-Mex food. They serve popcorn as a table appetizer, which didn’t taste particularly great but I enjoyed it conceptually. I got the BBQ pork mac and cheese, which was absolutely delicious and had a nice mix of textures & flavors. The firecracker shrimp was good, but didn’t particularly stand out to me. Although this isn’t the best place if you’re looking for “real” Mexican food, you’ll be hard pressed to find that anywhere in Madison. I’d recommend stopping by at least once, as it’s also in a relatively convenient location to much of Fitchburg.

We’ve recently moved nearby and had the chance to stop by several weekends. Every time we’ve had a great experience and weren’t dissapointed. The food is great, drinks are poured well, and the service is prompt even when it’s busy. live music on the patio every Saturday as well that we can hear from our backyard.

M&J was a wonderful find! Clean and spacious. Nice concise menu with wonderful choices. Our waitress Jacqui was pleasant, attentive and prompt. I had the taco salad and it was absolutely wonderful. Super happy that our little dog was allowed on the patio.
