What a fantastic find I had to go to Port Chester for some business it was almost a 90 me one-way trip and this restaurant made the trip worthwhile! The service was fantastic, the food was absolutely delicious. The shepherd’s pie with braised short ribs was the best I’ve ever had. I highly recommend this location the fish and chips was light crispy delicious.

We were there on a busy Friday night and the service was great. All of the bar staff was happy and friendly. How cool! It’s like they care about their job. Really nice and refreshing to be in a bar where the staff is top notch.

A great place for food and drinks!
We were a party of 4 on a weekday during lunch time. Not busy and the service was great.
The McShane’s wings are fantastic. It had a great crisp and has a great blast of flavor. It also has some spicy heat to it too.
The tomato soup with blue cheese was fairly good. The flavor of blue cheese was quite overwhelming, but it wasn’t a huge issue for me.
Mozzarella sticks were a great bite! Crispy and had a great cheese pull.
Shepherds pie was delicious and the grilled cheese sandwich was great. Filled with braised beef.
Definitely would recommend!

Was nice little pub near a show we were going to. Food was great thr service was so so maybe just not enough wait staff. I had delicious steak perfectly cooked.

Went during a football game and before a Grateful Dead concert at The Capital. Only waited about 20 minutes for a table and the service was incredible despite the packed restaurant. Get the Ruben, it never fails!

I didn’t have the best experience at mcshanes like other people seem to have. We got in and were seated pretty quickly. Our server was friendly and quite noticeably overwhelmed which I was sad to see. We got there with 30 mins left of happy hour. I got a rum and Coke ($4 well drinks for HH) and my bf got a HH beer ($5). Both were good. We also ordered a happy hour app (potato skins) which was $4 off of the normal price. We also got a burger and fries to split. It took 30 mins for our potato skins to come out and 45 for our burger! Obviously I was pretty annoyed about this. The potato skins didn’t really have any flavor and the burger was so small compared to the massive bun it came on. I didn’t love the fries (and at this point I think we all know how much I love fries). My bf also asked if they had a list of drinks on draught and she just brought him a random beer. We never got a chance to tell her this wasn’t what he wanted because she was running around too much. Luckily he said it was fine. Overall the drinks were cheap, but I don’t really think the food or wait was worth it. I’d definitely try something else if I were ever in the area again.

This place rules! The food was amazing. The country cottage pie is filled with meat, gravy, and flavors! I had a perfectly poured Guinness. The bartenders are friendly and most generous. Cheers to making this traveler feel welcomed, A++

Cozy spot with classic dive bar vibes. Bartenders are personable and courteous, food is delicious, and there’s always plenty of beer on tap. I’m a frequent flyer here and highly recommend!

Great bar menu and food especially if u need some late night eats i love coming here Wednesdays to meet up with friends for karaoke a few drinks and some good food im never disappointed bartenders are friendly and always nice to talk to i love the wings here fries are excellent with the dipping sauce that comes with it is amazing so if u need a late snack or love to sing karaoke this is the place hands down in Port Checster trust me…
