We started with a bottle of wine and their famous Reuben fries. I meant to take a photo, but we were too busy enjoying how incredible they were. Trust me, they’re a must‑try. For our entrée, we shared the chicken‑fried venison with roasted beets, goat cheese, and pine nuts. Absolutely delicious. We finished with the flourless espresso chocolate cake, and wow… the perfect ending to an already fantastic meal.
The ambiance is something special, rare collectibles, original artwork, and a cozy, elegant vibe that makes the whole experience feel unique. It’s the perfect spot for a date night: upscale without being pretentious, and surprisingly affordable for the quality you get.
The manager and staff were attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. We can’t wait to come back and try their brunch.
Might just be the best Texas Twinkie in the metroplex.
Lots of great gluten-free options, as they use rice flour for batter, light and airy. The flourless espresso chocolate cake is better described as a chocolate cream pie –very good (shown with EXTRA Whipped Cream). Everything pictured is gluten-free.
Loved the vibe in the restaurant, decor is amazing!
First, there is essentially no parking — and this is Dallas, so plan accordingly. The restaurant was running significantly behind schedule and largely ignored the guests waiting for tables; no one even offered the simple courtesy of seating people at the bar while they waited.
Service felt disorganized. They were already out of 1 of the 3 appetizers, and when my partner asked about vegetarian meal options — despite us calling ahead to confirm vegetarian availability — the waiter said he “would have to check” whether they had anything suitable. Later, they were also out of 1 of the 4 entrées, yet made no effort to offer a substitute, price adjustment, or even a complimentary dessert. My cocktail was never refilled, and at one point a diner at the neighboring table had to borrow silverware from another table because none was provided.
After seeing how the evening was unfolding, we decided to leave after finishing our first cocktail rather than continue the experience.
We had visited previously and remembered the food being good, but the same organizational problems were present then as well. Given the repeated issues — especially on a major dining night like Valentine’s Day — we won’t be returning.
We arrived without a reservation just as the last walk-in table had been taken. I figured no problem and went to have a quick drink at the bar. Meanwhile the host was able to identify another table that had come available.
Everyone was so kind and helpful and supper was great. Yes, I’ll make a reservation next time. Cheers!
I am not currently drinking, but the cocktail lists looked delicious. And decor was so cool and cozy.
Gluten Free menu items clearly marked on the menu, and staff/management were knowledgeable. Love, love, loved it. We will be back. And with more people!
