Family restaurant is in a great location. Very clean and nicely decorated. Food is good nd price is right. The tenderloin was large and good. Service was friendly and speed was acceptable during lunch. I will be back.
You must keep on top of them during breakfast. They shorted us hash browns and English muffin. Had to ask for maple syrup, jelly etc. Muffin not buttered and they didn’t give us butter. Breakfast is really good especially pancakes. If you’re in a hurry go to McDonalds.

So far so good with mcottos! We have only had the pizza from here and it’s the best in anamosa for sure! Buffalo chicken and supreme and fantastic! We have never eaten in but every interaction with staff is friendly. If I had to knock them on something it’s a little pricey compared to other pizza in the area. Recommend to stop by if you haven’t yet.

This place was pretty nice. The service was on point. The only thing that I would not order again is the “Chicago Style Italian Beef.” This is not a Chicago Italian Beef!! It’s a French Dip!! I am from Chicago and I’ve actually worked at a Vienna Beef Restaurant. I’ve made Italian beef sandwiches. So if u advertise a Chicago Italian Beef sandwich, make sure u know how to make it with Correct ingredients and bread!! Change that sandwich name!!

They only had a two other tables in the dinning room when we arrived. We ordered and then proceeded to wait for 55 minutes for our three burgers. A table that arrive 15 minutes after us got their food at the 1 hr mark. It was at that point we walked out and went to the Mexican place across the highway. Ten minutes later we were eating. The mexican restaurant was a good choice. The atmosphere there was good too. I wonder if the folks in the painting at Porfirio’s died waiting for food at McOttos.

Had the Shrooms Buget and it was excellent. We also had their Taco Pizza and it is to die for! Reminded me of delivered Taco Pizza in college. Pizza delivery guy Todd was so dreamy!
We also had the “Oreo Speedwagon” just because we liked the name. It was ok and needed a couple extra scoops of ice cream.
Either way my wife and I were stuffed by the time we left. Thank you McOttos!

HORRIBLE SERVICE! Never seen such awful and unfriendly customer service for all the times we have came here in the past 15 years. Was not very busy on a Sunday night and the staff was so slow and didn’t seem to care to wait on us. I ordered a glass of Coke and my wife a iced tea. Did not put much ice in my glass and it was not full and the same for my wife. I ordered the hot beef plate, for $10.19 on a big plate and my wife ordered the Cajun chicken meal with two sides for $19.49 and they messed up both orders. The hot beef plate used to fill the whole plate with the sandwich with each half on each side piled high and a lot of mashed potatoes. This time the sandwich was smaller, not cut in half and one scoop of potatoes with gravy not hardly covering the bread but just the potatoes and there was a quite a bit of fat. My wife wanted the Cajun chicken plain without the Cajun sauce on it and the waitress heard her but when it came out the sauce was on it. They redid it and when it came back out again the bottom of both chicken breasts was burnt and the top didn’t looked done. One more try and it looked like it was not completely done. Ten minutes later the waitress came back and I asked for a refill of Coke with plenty of ice and she came back with a full glass with NO ICE! Talk to the night manager ( young lady about 20 – 22 years old ) and told her all about it. She apologized and took $8 off our order. But that don’t matter. With the poor quality of the food and the staff you guys got that’s got a attitude that needs to go back to grade school and learn some better manners.I had to put a one star on each category but they really each get a zero star. Nothing, Zilch, Notta, No Way. We will not ever come back. THAT IS A PROMISE AND I DO MEAN THAT!

We called in a few days in advance for a large group and were told we would have staff to cover. The place wasn’t busy but we spent close to 30 minutes waiting for someone to take our food orders. Our drinks were not refilled and it took quite a while for me to get my food and it was cooked wrong. By the time I recieved it everyone was done eating. The ribeye was disgusting, pretty much fat and gristle. My sister ordered chicken fettuccine and the noodles were dry and the chicken very overcooked. The staff was apathetic and when we finally got up to get our checks (another 20 minute wait) one waitress was on her phone and another just sitting at a table. I was charged for my meal with no offer of compensation.

Pretty much all facets of this place were pretty awful, except our server. Upon walking in, it’s eerily quiet (no music and just a few people there on a Friday) night, and there seems to be no one in charge overseeing the restaurant, checking in on customers. Then I look to my right and there are three employees trying to figure out the exploding tap (no beer for me), with lines that have likely not been cleaned in months or years. We order and the food comes out over 60 minutes later; this was a few burgers and wings, folks, and I remind you, there’s almost no customers there; should’ve taken the hint sooner. We ate the subpar bar food, paid our bill for $90 (five person family with three kids) and left. And for the next two hours I was hunched over the toilet. Don’t go here, or your fate may be the same.

Restaurant was clean. Staff was friendly and attentive. We got our food quickly and enjoyed our meals. Even being short handed the 2 ladies working handled it like champs! Definitely will be returning.
