Good spot that’s more than the main restaurant building. Go check out the church there might be live music. The fire pits out back are nice in the evening. Play some corn hole. Food and drinks are good.

Brittany W. was our waitress today, and she was so very thoughtful and kind in serving my wife and I our dinner. The overall atmosphere is relaxed, the food is always very delicious, and the service is friendly and impeccable. My wife, Debbi, and I will return again soon!

We are so glad we gave this place a second chance! Are sewing group has monthly “retreats “wear a swimming get together for the weekend, exchange, sewing tips, eat great food, have great drinks, and bond! When we dine out there’s usually between 15 to 20 of us so we always make sure to make a reservation ahead of time. Last time we tried this location a month or two ago we just didn’t have a great experience. Our waiter was a young guy who just didn’t seem to understand what it meant to be in the service industry.… Some people just aren’t made for it. I know I’m not! The food was great last time, it took forever to get the right meal, but like I said, the service was poor enough that we had planned on not returning to this location. Unfortunately & fortunately this weekend we forgot to make a reservation ahead of time so the old church was the only place that could accommodate us with such short notice. We went into this meal with no expectations. We knew we would get great food we just hope that it wouldn’t be as chaotic and hectic as it was last time. The guy that served us last time made us feel like we were putting him out when we asked for separate checks or asked for refills. He made some Off colored jokes, he’s young, he probably thought he was being Debbonaire, but he was really more insulting. Tonight we showed up for our reservation over 30 minutes early, so we figured we would have to wait but when we came in the Lovely manager took us upstairs right away and when we got there our beautiful waitress, Carrie was already setting our table. She did not seem annoyed or put out when her manager told her that we were 30 minutes early. She seemed excited! Only about half of us were there, but she gave us the rundown on the specials and took our drink and appetizer orders. we all ordered either a beer or cocktail, I had the high furnace and it was spectacular. Based on previous experience, we figured we would wait at least 30 minutes before we got our drinks since there were so many. Within five minutes Carrie was back at our table with waters for everyone and she let us know she was going to go get our drinks now. Within 10 minutes we all had our drinks and we were starving. Our whole party wasn’t here, but we asked if we could order and Carrie accommodated. Our food was at our table so fast! I don’t know exactly how long it took because we were talking and drinking, but it seemed very fast. The thing that really impressed us was carrie did not interrupt our conversations asking us what we ordered. She impressively but quietly set each meal in front of us without disturbing us there was a little confusion with one of our burgers, but it was quickly figured out. I don’t know how she remembered what each of us were eating, but she did! Not once did any of us have to ask for refills or condiments or anything else. She seemed to know what we needed before we knew what we needed. And the cherry on top was when she came to the table with 15 separate checks and quietly and efficiently handed each of us our check and they were all correct! She then proceeded to take everyone’s payment, she had two machines with her, talk about efficient! Great food, great atmosphere, great music, GREAT SERVICE! We will be back! Hopefully we can request to have Carrie as our waitress for all our future gatherings.

The amount of anxiety I had dining here with my grandma. First of all, I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and the cheese was frozen. Second of all, Susan the general manager , was making profiling me and showing horrible customer service because I’m Mexican have tattoos . It felt very hostile and I was extremely uncomfortable. I am very shocked and would not recommend eating or even looking at this place. It took me so much patience not to throw my fries at her. Please be careful , these people are racist. What a shame, and I am a sous chef myself so I know what a real restaurant hospitality is. Don’t come here.

Fantastic food, our waitress Kailea was awesome! So friendly and interactive!

I got the Take me to the moon burger and Cajun tots. The burger was messy but so worth it!! Seriously so delicious, the flavor combo!
Sad that I live out of state and can’t come back here!! Also love those plants outside!

I’ve always loved McMenamins, which is why this experience was especially disappointing. My mom and I went on New Year’s Eve to visit the Undercroft Bar, and the organization around the opening time was extremely confusing. I called ahead and was told the bar would open at 5 pm, so we arrived at 4 to wait. At 5, we were told it would actually open at 7. We came back at 7, were let in briefly, and then were asked to leave because the bar was actually opening at 8.

The bar itself is beautiful, and I was really excited to show it to my mom, but the constant changes made the experience frustrating and exhausting. On top of that, while we were waiting, I was on a short speaker call saying Happy New Year to my family in another country. We were not louder than other conversations around us, yet I was asked to turn the speaker off. I couldn’t help but feel uncomfortable, especially since I was speaking Spanish.

I still love McMenamins and hope this was just a poorly handled holiday situation, but clearer communication and more sensitivity would have made a big difference.

Another great McMenamins but certainly a very unique one. We felt very comfortable eating in as there wasn’t a lot of people on a Thursday night and everything seem clean. The place has a lot of history and it feels very “portland” and artistic, they sell little souvenirs, whiskies, etc. The service is great as they go out of their way to please you. I personally like the fact that each restaurant is so different. Now to the food, food is tasty and each restaurant has something local or seasonal that is very unique. We have been to this specific restaurant a few times and have never been disappointed, the only thing we noticed today was that portions seem smaller than previous times. The kids sliders seem smaller and so did the gyro, regardless we were full by the end of our meal. We will return.

Atmosphere and customer service were great. Went for lunch on a Tuesday. Ordered the Jamaican bowl and the Blue Bayou salad. Jamacian was great and while the BB tasted fine, it was tiny – more like a side salad for $17. Server comped my pint, which was very nice of her. Prices have jumped recently, too expensive to go more than occassionally.

During our road trip of 3 weeks in America-Canada we have eaten at many different places. We always avoid eating at the hotels because we want to try the local restaurants with their local food and drinks. This location is definitely the winner in terms of uniqueness. What a great beautiful location. A very nice old church converted into a restaurant. It was also very nice that the interior was equipped with Dutch old street name signs. We, of course, enjoyed that as a Dutch. The food was also excellent as well as their own brewed beer. Some pictures give an impression of this wonderfully beautiful and atmospheric location.

This is one of our go to locations because they have outdoor seating and we love to bring our pup with us. Unfortunately, over the past six months or so service has been hit and miss… Unfortunately, more miss… But tonight was a definite HIT! Carries Service and smile are top of the line, five star, nothing I could think of to complain about. It looks like this location is Getting back to the service standards they once had. Because of Cari, we had a great night and left with a new growler. We just hope she will be there the next time we eat.
