I came all the way from Mexico, and visiting this cinema was a completely different experience. ✨ The theater is beautiful, comfortable, and has wonderful architecture. One thing I really loved is that there’s a bar right in front of your seat, which makes the experience even better. The seats are super comfortable, the price is affordable, and the screen quality is very good.
I definitely recommend visiting this place, it’s totally worth it.

The best thing about all McMenanins is the atmosphere. Food is always meh
Love the lively place and vibe! Best movie theater in Portland!

It was such a fun vibe, we enjoyed watching Marty Supreme as our first movie here. The food was yummy only negative is that the tables are pretty far from your seat. I got a Mule for an alcoholic beverage which was 9/10. If you are thinking about coming here do yourself the favor and visit!

This place is a beautiful part of Portland. The building and decor are beautiful. The theater area is very nice and comfy.
Yummy foods and drinks while watching a movie, what more could you ask for?
Also, McMenamins is generous and kind and hosts a free tour every few weeks that give a really great history of the theater. Highly recommend! It’s at 10 am on Saturday.

The food is okay. The cheeseburger I had was dry and the bun was hard. It was edible, but I wish I ate elsewhere. I don’t regret it, but I won’t visit again. The tater tots were as good as the tots at Sonic.
It’s cramped, too. The building is an historic building that’s pretty dark in the bar and I get that it’s an old building and a bar.
The waiter took our number when one of us got food and then gave away some of the other food we ordered because we no longer had a number. We mentioned this and they eventually brought us the other food we ordered, but it was left half-eaten.
I don’t believe that you’ll miss out on anything or have major regrets if you don’t go. If you do, great! I visited once and that’s more than enough for me.

Stop in during the street far. I was visiting my daughter and she suggested this place. Nick was our server, table by the street. The cool breeze was nice. We enjoyed several great fares and a bottle of syrah. Nick did a great job. Would definitely come back.

Went to go see Send Help this past weekend and while the movie was enjoyable, the service left something to be desired. First of all, if you’re going to have a theater that large you should have a second concession stand. The line was so unbelievably long I missed the first few minutes of the movie. Second of all, the view from our balcony seats wasn’t great. Just an okay experience all around.

Super cool Movie Theater! There is a ton of seating, even upstairs like in a theater. The building itself is really cool and also has a bar next door that is super fun. For the movie, you can buy actual food and drinks and some of the seats in the theater have tables, so you can eat and watch comfortably. The staff is really friendly and we had a lot of fun coming here!

I love this spot! All locations are fantastic, but the McMenamins Bagdad Theatre & Pub on Hawthorne stands head and shoulders above the local competition. Fantastic food, great service, love this spot. Fish and chips are always a home run, the Cajun tots are excellent, and the brew selection is great. 10/10 recommend
