Service was excellent, very friendly and quick. Coffee made it’s rounds, and my family of 5 got everything we ordered correctly. Food was great with great menu choices. Good kids options and kid friendly atmosphere with accomodations. will definitely be back!

A true gem in Northern Maine, is this beautiful and tastefully decorated family restaurant. Their breakfasts easily out-cook any competitors in Bangor and beyond. Located in Milo vis-a-vis Trade Winds in an unpretentious building, you will be stunned by their warm and homey atmosphere, and absolutely delightful food. Fast, friendly service, and down to earth pricing make this eatery a must go-to.

Went for dinner, plenty of amazing options. The staff was very friendly. This is a great place to stop and enjoy a nice bite to eat. Steak tips are great. Fried clams are delicious.
Returned for breakfast, had the gravy bowl. Yum!
Favorite place to eat in the area!

Cute and clean. Restrooms were very clean as well. And the food was very good with large portions. I had a corned beef omelet and took half of it home. The whole wheat home bread was amazing! We will be back again!

Not surprised that this is rated a 4.8. We ate there last weekend and it was excellent. 3 of us had haddock burgers and I had a Smashburger….best I’ve ever had. Sweet potato fries were krinkle cut, but they were tasty. We will visit again!

Food was so good! Got a Mcmac burger on special with a side of onion strings and mac and cheese all delicious! Place is so cute as well, our server was super sweet dark hair in a bun but didn’t get her name!

The Hangry Girl Breakfast… best $20 you’ll ever spend. It’s enough to feed an army, and the steak tips are next level!..Better than Longhorns, imo.

I’d forgotten about small town living, but let me tell you, I was reminded just how special it is. I was born in Milo, 1968. I’ve been gone decades, visited frequently but not for long. Recently my elderly mother passed away and I needed to arrange a small family gathering, all the way from Germany. I contacted McLaughlin’s via their FB messenger. After explaining the situation, not one hesitation…they were there to help. I offered to send a deposit. Not necessary, pay after. The day of the service, they put out a nice black board with my Mom’s name on it, in her memory. There were 20-25 of us, seated at a nice table. The restaurant is so nicely decorated and clean. We were greeted with hot coffee, we all ordered (one waitress, who handled it all flawlessly) and the food came out promptly, nice and hot and all at once. The food was delicious…I had the hash, and baked beans…yum! My husband had the beef tips and said they were amazing. We were never rushed, coffee flowed and we all had a great time visiting. So, from this Maine girl (who lives so far away) to all of you that took care of us today at McLaughlin’s…thanks for making me feel at home, and reminding me of how special small towns are!
