Pretty good.
In her younger days my wife would eat here with her grandparents so our visit was a walk down memory lane. We arrived early on a Friday evening, no wait, got immediate service. Plenty of entree and side options. Although the desserts looked tasty we declined them this time.
We took our time and enjoyed our meals. This is real food, not something that feels like a lead brick in your stomach. By the time we were done there was a queue formed up on the serving line…popular place!
We’ll be back.

Though the workers here seem to be working very hard to keep this place going, it is not what it used to be.
We got charged for an extra meal and the cashier did not even apologize. It seemed like she was mad that we caught it. Then we heard someone at the next table tell the hostess that the same had happened to them. Running a scam?

$64 for 2 meals. 5 pm. Nobody in line. Should have been my first clue. Food was horrible, cold. We ate a few bites and left. I have been to MCL cafeterias all over Indiana for 40 years, always wonderful. Could have ate at a Lone Star right by our hotel, but no!!

Used to love eating here with family growing up, but now it’s just awful. Their last food inspection was horrendous, yet they have the audacity to charge average 25$ a person. Please, lower your prices to reflect your poor standards, or get up to code. This is ridiculous and shameful. Must be under very poor management.

The staff is super friendly and the food is hot. You can definitely tell its homemade. The ladies in management have definitely turned this place around compared to what it was a couple years ago. Will come back with friends and family on a regular bases.

Just like mom’s old home cooking Everything is fresh made, The carver Roastbeef is still my favorite, with mashed potatoes and gravy greenbeans and coleslaw. Alway have their hot rolls alway have to get 2. Some of the best I have ever had. Cant wait to go back again.we where back today for my Birthday and it was as good as always. Love this Restaurant wish they would open one in Evansville so we don’t have to drive so far.

Went to MCL today with my daughter. What a wonderful experience! The place was very clean. Very spacious seating and a fantastic selection of food. We ordered a wide variety of items but my favorite was the salmon patties. Just like momma always made but twice as big! I will be going back for more.

Some of the staff have watched my children grow up and know us as soon as we walk in the door. The staff is always friendly and attentive. The food is hot and tasty and i recommend the custard for dessert! We love eating at MCL.
