Our friend Alexis, a server at McK’s, invited my wife and I to stop by. As a result, we’ve found a new favorite place when in Daytona! The food is excellent; we’ve had shepherd’s pie, flatbread, Guinness stew, and roast beef and cheddar sandwiches across two visits. As always, Alexis provided great service, and we love the overall atmosphere!

Great experience at McK’s. Came on a recommendation from a local distillery, was not disappointed! Prices are great and food quality top tier. The Guinness Stew is massive and delicious! The French Dip was wonderful, and the Fish-n-Chips was some of the best fried fish we have had in the area.
The Conners Irish Red beer and Beach Street Blonde beer were also delicious.

McK’s Tavern is great place to eat. I have never been there when it wasn’t bustling. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. I noticed pet companions with customers in the outdoor area.
The menu offers traditional, hearty, Irish fare, but also 1/2 pound hamburgers. Check out the specials on Sundays and Thursdays. Their food is delicious!
There is diagonal street parking in front, but abundant public parking in rear of the building. There is also a rear entrance.
The one aspect that I didn’t care for was self seating. There was quite a few people waiting. I didn’t want to be rude, but felt the need to be assertive to obtain a table. People would walk right past us to a table if a party was about to leave.
Regardless, I go back because I enjoy the atmosphere and good food.

We stopped at Mck’s Tavern on the way to get my ears pierced for my birthday, and it turned out to be the perfect surprise. We were starving, and this place hit the spot in every way.
The service was absolutely amazing—friendly, fast, and welcoming. The restaurant was super clean, which made the whole experience even better.
I ordered the BLT, and wow—what a sandwich! It was huge, and every ingredient was just right. The bacon was cooked to perfection—crispy but not overdone. The tomato was sliced perfectly and fresh, and the whole thing came out hot and fresh like it had just come off the grill.
Highly recommend stopping here if you’re in the area. Perfect food, great people, and a clean, comfortable place to relax. I’ll definitely be back!

Worst experience at McK’s I have Ever had! First of all they are working on the roof, so that pounding was annoying!
But that isn’t my complaint! Do not Ever have AMBER as a server! Well that’s only a title! She got our drinks well a water NO lemon that we asked for and then disappeared! I stood up and saw her sitting at a booth then she saw me and came over! She took our order , she brought our food and we NEVER saw her until we were done! SARA passed by us several times we told her we never saw Amber once since we got our food! She actually got us to go cup for our drink! Finally Amber came over and took our dishes she came by twice to take plates and literally Drop the check. So she can be around only to finish up !! The burger was Not Well done but we never saw her to tell her! The French dip had way more meat on one side! The Reuben had very little sauce or sauerkraut and the fries and sandwich are much smaller than they used to be!!! Unacceptable!!!! I tried twice when I got home to talk to the Manager but he is the cook! So I have to wait until after 5pm! In the beginning this place was the best nice sized portions and great service and always packed! There were few tables and just a disappointing atmosphere, service and food !! We are locals and word of mouth says it all! We will stay in Ormond Beach!!

This was my first visit to this establishment. I went with a group of friends. There was no wait but they were extremely busy. It’s a seat yourself restaurant. The wait for the waitress didn’t take long at all. We all had a few adult beverages while we waited for our meals to arrive. The atmosphere was festive. The ppl seemed friendly enough. The restrooms were very clean but out of paper products due to the volume of customers…The food was delish & the portions of the food was much larger than expected. There’s so many items to choose from in the menu. I forgot to post the menu but it’s available online on their website. I highly recommend this place & I’ll definitely be going back there to try the rest of the dishes! (Shepherds pie, bangers & mash, fish & chips, chili, diff types of hamburgers, Irish eggrolls, etc.) Yum!

Alexis did a great job! She was super kind, hospitable, made sure we were well taken care of, and had a great smile with beautiful energy (: the beer was amazing and there was a huge selection including some they brew themselves. The food was just as good! We had the mac n chz egg rolls, buffalo chicken flat bread with their spiciest sauce, and the blackened gorgonzola burger. Highly recommend!

Is right smack in the middle of them….. AWESOME
The food is not just your typical Irish dishes it certainly a mix of American meals
When you walk in there is a sign that reads: walk in and sit yourself (there is a funny sign that says: Help wanted all can apply but the IRISH

I laughed more because Mark is Irish
There are both high and low booths and tables and at the bar seating
***Unless you’re EXTREMELY tall they have a booth that is just right for you***
Mark is 5’10 and it comes to his chest. My cute height is 5’1 (when I stand up straight)
it comes just below my chin AND my feet do not reach the floor
The ” regular couple” were smiley at us waiting to see how long we will sit there before moving

They “RIBS” we decided to have were awesome and our meals came out quickly
I tell you this is a fun restaurant. Not only are the servers (Thank you Arley) happy and friendly, the patrons are also.
We befriended those (little stinkers) Diane and Paul
who proceeded to be excellent new found friends
( I think they are but maybe they were being polite BLAAH) (They didn’t sneak out the back door so I think all is good… Again, BLAAH)
They have TVs with games going on so if you’re a fan of hanging out at the bar will have a great time there
If you follow my reviews (and please do because I’m awesome and I’m not a paid reviewer)
is a HIGHLY must recommendion for you visit to downtown
Tourists you will have an AMAZING experience.
