This is the best food I have eaten in Nassau. The seasoning is on point. Everything was good. We tried like 4 or 5 different things. The price was very resonable. Loved the views and the sting rays and fish. Good service,Awesome vibe and great great food!!!!

We discovered McKenzie’s Fresh Fish & Conch while staying on Paradise Island and walking across the bridge to Nassau for dinner at Potter’s Cay. It’s only about a 15-minute walk, and absolutely worth it.
McKenzie’s caught our attention — and we ended up going back three times during our stay! The staff were incredibly friendly, especially Sharanda and Mr. McKenzie himself, who made us feel very welcome.
The conch salad is prepared fresh to order. We also had the seafood platter, both fried and steamed — everything was delicious, flavorful, and clearly very fresh.
If you’re looking for authentic, fresh seafood with great value for money, this is the place to go. Highly recommended!

I was on paradise island for the duration of my stay in nassau but I wanted some local food. I found out about this place and almost ate here every time I was hungry! The food was good, not extremely amazing but definitely tasty and it’s cheap! The most important part of it all is that it’s owned, and operated by a Bahamian so the likelihood of you getting authentic Bahamian food is almost a guarantee

The Tropical Conch salad was excellent and clearly a local, authentic dish — absolutely worth ordering. It’s also well worth walking over the bridge from Paradise Island to explore some of these local spots. We’re not big fried-food people, but everything we tried was very tasty. The place was crowded with a great view, and the locals were incredibly friendly and happy to share their knowledge about the food and nearby places to visit. A great experience overall.

Fantastic dinner! I got the snapper dinner – that’s the whole fish in the photo. It was amazing. My husband got the grouper – also absolutely delicious. The sides were great too – rice and peas, coleslaw. More food than we could eat!
The chef is literally preparing the conch salad for another party in a little kitchen in full view of me. Taking the meat out of the shell and all. This stuff is fresh!

Although my partner got food poisoning since he ate 3/4 of the quart (I ate a smaller portion), we still would recommend trying it—albeit a smaller amount. He can no longer stomach ceviche, citrus-y food after this experience and any thing of the sort makes him queasy.
Just 6 hours after dining here, the entire toilet was filled with the same stuff served in the quart, and it came out the same hole it went in. But I was fine and quite enjoyed what I ate!
While staying at the Cove Atlantis, we took the shuttle over to Marina Bay and walked from there (20-min). It was HOT in mid-July but the walk was quite doable.
Enjoyable dining experience, we were left at the table to enjoy the bay views and fish. You can even buy cleaned conch shells as souvenirs for much cheaper than at the markets. We got a heaping serving of the iconic, conch salad made fresh (and in front of us).

McKenzie’s Fresh Fish and Conch is fantastic! They offer two styles—original and tropical. I opted for the tropical version, which includes pineapple and mango, and the flavors worked perfectly together. The fish and conch were incredibly fresh and full of flavor. Definitely a must-try spot and highly recommended if you’re in the area.

Great location right at the end of the bridge and got a great view of the Marina in the deck. I even saw a spotted stingray. In terms of food, I ordered the cracked conch which was okay. I had no comparison with since it’s my first time to have crack conch but the food was pretty standard imo. They did accept credit card, a big plus.

The worst restaurant I have been to in the Bahamas. The food was mushy and old like it’s been put together with no care. The atmosphere was bad too because there was a very bad smell throughout the restaurant and there was no restroom to clean yourself either. I wouldn’t recommend going there at all.
