Great experience. I ordered the 2 meat plate with ribs, chicken, pinto beans, and baked potato casserole. The pinto beans and ribs are my two favorite items on the menu so I pretty much always order them. They did not disappoint! The the beans were swimming in a thick, savory juice you can only get from hours of slow cooking. The ribs were seasoned perfectly and falling off the bone. My toothless granddaddy would have thoroughly enjoyed them. Customer service is great as well. I had my food delivered but drove to the location after I received my order because I thought I had been given turkey instead of chicken. I am extremely allergic to turkey so I usually order thighs so I can tell the difference. I was informed it was sliced chicken breast and also advised how to order next time to ensure I received my preferred choice. It was quite comical actually because I just knew I was about to be taken out by that turkey! Altogether a great experience (as usual).

Love this place. The fried okra is awesome. When you get the brisket plate they go a little easy on the portion. But great atmosphere and great employees. Rustic feeling and the place smells great. They have my favorite kind ok coke machines with more flavors than you can count. They have a location in Montgomery that is also off the chain. Thanks McKenzies!!!

Consistently good BBQ. Good prices and good service. I usually get the 2 meat plate with ribs and brisket, the brisket sandwich. (Half lean/half marbled) or the turkey sandwich. When people from Houston or out of town come to visit and they request BBQ, this is where I taken’em. This one is highly recommended.

After spending 7 years in Kansas City, I swore by it was the best. My first Texas BBQ experience was at McKenzie’s and I was pleasantly surprised. The brisket was hands down the best I’ve ever had! They even give you the option to have it lean or not which I thought was cool but didn’t chose that. The jalapeno sausage was amazing as well. I wish I could have tried the ribs or burnt ends but they were out (no surprise there!) I picked up an order from here earlier in the day as I was doing Uber Eats and had to go back to experience it myself, it smelled so good! Very nice touch that the man at the counter (not sure of they all do this) used his entire hand to direct me to where the silverware and BBQ sauce were instead of pointing his finger. Definitely coming back when you have ribs and burnt ends available!

Has a craft bbq atmosphere with chain tasting proteins and sides. Ordered 3 meat plate of brisket, jalapeño sausage, and spareribs with baked potato casserole and sweet potato fries. I had to go back up to get my ribs after they were left off the plate. All 3 proteins had decent flavor but all 3 were chewy from being overcooked. Even the fatty brisket was chewy and some of the bark was too tough to eat. The pre made sausage link was also overcooked leaving it very dry. The price is very reasonable but you get what you pay for. I’d rather pay a little more for better BBQ.

I got the bbq grilled cheese sandwich with chopped brisket and pepper jack cheese. If was tremendous. I got the ribs the previous time here. They were also good, but I’d pick the grilled cheese over the ribs. BBQ sauce and free jalapeño corn bread are also very good. It’s a great bbq place in Conroe.
