We parked on the street right next to the restaurant. Self seating but we’re greeted right away. The coffee and juice came out fast. The breakfast portions are big and tasty. We toast had just the right amount of butter.

From the jump, had a good feeling. The waitress wasted no time, we were served coffee and water fast. I got my usual, biscuit, sausage gravy, lightly scrambled eggs, corned beef hash, and wheat toast. Everything was cooked perfectly and high quality and perfect quantity – i was hungry. Deb got a bacon, fried egg, cheese, on hard roll, corn muffin grilled and buttered perfectly. She raved, very pleased. The owner spoke with us about his Yankees/ red Sox display, there’s a story. Please go here when you get a chance.

Not my cup of tea. Service was good. Food was just ok. There seems to be an emphasis on fancy over flavor.

Staff is extremely rude and incompetent. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and Texas toast. My order took over 30 minutes to make and I didn’t even receive all of my food. Had to drive all the way back (15 minutes) to get the rest of my order and the woman employee lied and said that my food was left behind. She lied!! I believe they tried to scam me out of food. The sandwich looked like someone grabbed it from a blender and the food had absolutely no flavor. Also very very dry. When we explained that we had to drive far to come back for our food the woman employee was extremely rude and told my wife “that’s not her problem”. I will NEVER waste another dime in this place and the owners should be ashamed to have employees representing their business with such unprofessionalism. Horrible food, horrible atmosphere and horrible workers. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. SAVE YOUR MONEY.

My family and I love to go on random drives each weekend just to explore our state. During those drives we decide to support and eat at local businesses. Today we stopped at McGrane’s, we were greeted and allowed to choose where we wanted to seat upon entering. The breakfast offerings were ample. My wife and I ordered the All American and my daughter the stackable combo. The All American is eggs your way, with meat option, home fries and toast w/ coffee and the stackable comes with eggs and your choice of waffles or pancakes. Everything came out relatively quickly and the portions were great and the food was good. My only problem was with service – maybe because this has a locals only vibe or it could have been just me but the servers came by only once after we were seated from when we originally seated and offered coffee to when we received our food and got a refill. The rest of the time they ignored our table but had gone to other tables multiple times. Towards the end of our breakfast I saw one server cast a side glance to see if we were about done but never asked if we needed a container or the check. We did that ourselves once we got the attention of another server. Overall if you do come and eat here if you are not a local don’t expect friendliness but you will still get a good breakfast.

Classic diner atmosphere with soft Irish touches. A local favorite hotspot but anyone with taste buds outside of this area would tell you that the food is not good. The service is lazy and lackluster, and the cook has no sense of urgency. Also who makes a Ruben like this Must’ve been the toughest pieces of corn beef I’ve ever ever had in my life. This was my second time and last time here. First time was just as dull. This is probably one of those places that if you didn’t grow up Here you would probably just pass

The bacon was excellent, however the pancakes were roughly a three out of five and the eggs were not charred as I had originally asked for. The service was excellent even if pancakes and eggs need some work to get to the same level as the bacon.

We do not eat out often but I’m glad we chose to go here.
I have some dietary restrictions and this place has something for everyone. I highly recommend the gluten free bread, in my opinion most gluten free bread is gross but this bread was great! They have gluten free pizza option too.
I got the vegetable omelette and the veggies where very fresh, it was a tasty simple omelette. The atmosphere was a classic small town atmosphere. It was outdated style but that’s the charm of Winsted. Any Irish lad would find comfort in the entertaining decor and decals on the walls. A great place to grab a bite for anyone.
Only suggestion: Irish tunes Tuesday and Thursday? Why not?

Entire breakfast menu is the delicious, and the staff is among the friendliest and most patient that I’ve ever encountered!

Don’t usually leave reviews and it’s not the first time we’ve eaten from here…but tonight, what I would think would have been a basic chef salad… was so much more than! It was packed full of meats, veggies and lettuce (and all fresh)! Ate a 1/4 of it and have so much left for tomorrow!! We had it delivered with other things as well, all was great!
