Oct 10, 2025 visit. Beautiful fall day. Stopped for lunch. Nothing fancy. My wife ordered French onion soup and I got the all American burger, medium rare. This was very good pub food we will go back again.

Friendly staff and atmosphere. The food was excellent. Onion soup had tons of flavor, wings crispy. My wife had the Ruben and fries which were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Nice array of 80s music. Several TVs to watch your favorite sports

Great spot to watch a game (in the booth’s tv or at the bar) and enjoy some delicious food. We stopped by and were seated promptly by the friendly staff. Hallie was attentive and made sure that we were well taken care of during our meal. Definitely upgrade to the sweet potato fries!

Quite the quaint experience, which matches the low-key vibe Vermont is known for.
The primarily dark-wood interior and giant spirits dispenser behind the bar were harbingers of a cozy experience. I have yet to take an inclination to PGA matches, but what they did do was add cordiality to a box of wonders. The customer service had an air of magnanimity that ensured our visit was not an afterthought, but a labor of love. The wait for our food didn’t discourage us because we knew in our hearts that food quality was the restaurant’s lifeblood.
As soon as my eye caught the Crispy Maple VT Chicken Sandwich, my priorities were set in stone. The maple drizzle carried just as much decadent weight as I anticipated, accenting the chicken in a “chicken & waffles” manner that almost makes me think they’d be the candidates for Deep South culinary impersonators (that’s no complaint), while never once straying from the appeal of state specialties. Even though the breading was slightly too thick and the tomatoes chunkier than I felt would suit the dish, my adventure was gold on a plate.
The beef in the tacos was also a high point of my visit. When my mother took it upon herself to share these beauts with me, I was grateful. Beneath a bed of lettuce and other stuffers, every bite of the meat melted on my tongue.
If there’s one thing I enjoy about a faraway trip, it’s walking away with a memory steeped in appetizing delights. Give McGillicuddy’s my sincerest regards.

Fastest service I’m ever had. I think I barely finished my order and it was out.
Crazy beer selection and TV’s everywhere….up to you if that’s good…but I loved it for the NHL playoffs.
My photo of the club isn’t a good representation of how good it was. Full on chunks of turkey…crispy bacon…fresh tomatoes and lettuce….will dwfbe back

Had a great lunch experience here. Morgan was our server and was also training a new server at the same time. She was very friendly and helpful the entire time. When we had a spill, she was quick to help us get it cleaned up.

The burgers were DELICIOUS. kudos to their cook in the back because he nailed the temperature of the meat and the lettuce and tomato were crisp and fresh. Love the fries and you can tell their cut from fresh potatoes.

Great atmosphere and having a TV in the booth to check out the Olympics was a very nice touch.

Highly recommend this place!

First time having food from here.. Ordered a few appetizers for takeout. My nachos only had cheese, tomato and lettuce on them. I paid the extra for beef, but they forgot it along with other things the menu claimed they put on. The boneless wings were way overcooked. I got 2 appetizers and somehow paid $42.

What happened? This used to be my go to place. Not so many tourists as in the rest of Waterbury. And food, while basic, was adequate and the bar was great. I just went here and what??? I got a drink and I was overcharged. In other words, they didn’t give me my change from a cash transaction. I left the tip accordingly, deducting from the change owed me. They never did this in the past. I will choose Montpelier establishments from now on.

So good! We had the Reuben rolls app. I had the Vermont chicken sandwich, which had bacon and maple syrup. The onion rings were really good, too. Definitely worth the stop!!
