Outstanding pound cakes. I have had both chocolate and classic here. My mother passed away in 2025 and my favorite dessert that she made for us growing up was pound cake. Nothing is ever as good as what mom makes, but McGee makes a really good runner up to Mom’s.

Great friendly people. Cakes are absolutely delicious. Helped me with a cake last minute on a Saturday, and wasn’t just thrown together, it was the best I had ever had. Young ladies working were, sweet, friendly, and all had a smile on their face. You will not go wrong doing business with these folks.

This is a truly wonderful bakery — not just in the quality and prices but in the service as well! I ordered a FULL sheet cake for a Senior celebration. Let’s start there. First, I came in with a super complex design. I had it all drawn out on paper and I had a pretty specific vision in my head. They took this job head-on and with only a few logistical adjustments — they captured exactly what I wanted! I was going for a design that honored three different high schools in the area (and their colors) to represent the schools the seniors were graduating from. Then– the day I was due to pick up– I completely forgot to get The cake before they closed! I was simply balancing too many plates and picking up the cake slipped through the cracks! Well — the lovely people at McGee’s bent over backwards to come back to the bakery to let me pick up and pay for the cake! The price was amazing and the quality was epic! And to top it all off — even though this absentmindedness was completely my fault, they were the picture of customer service and I was walked out and the cake was carried for me and placed gently in my car. To say that I, and everyone at the event were impressed is the understatement of the year! If it couldn’t get any better — the flavor was awesome and the cake was nice and moist! We love shopping small whenever we can and this experience with McGee’s just guaranteed that we will use them for all our bakery needs!
